Some of the babies we hatched today and one of the 3 cute little barn owl chicks we are raising here at NMP Balm Pythons . Got to love breeding season especially with the amazing variety of morphs we get from the same clutches .

Our second clutch of the year is once again from a first time breeder . She is our Fire het Pied girl that we bred here a few years ago and have grown up . This was her 3rd winter and she weighed in at over 2.5kgs before we paired her up . Today she laid 7 eggs of which 6 were fertile . The 7th egg is a slug but the biggest slug ive seen before . If didnt candle the eggs , i would easliy have confused it with a good egg . She wad paired with our male Banana Enchi het Pied so hopefully we get a couple cool pied combos from this pairing .

This is one of my favourite basic combos . Welcome to the family to this awesome little boy . He is a banana cinnamon and his colours are just amazing . He hatched today after 61 days in the cooker and his eggtooth is still visable right at the tip of his mouth . I was suprised as to how sharpand hard this eggtooth is .

Showing off our latest addition to the collection . This is our het pied pictured with our banana male . Love the way the enchi gene brightens the banana up and the pattern is well reduced too . Cant wait to see what he can produce next season .

Some recent activity here at NMP . Today we were glad to welcome a lovely clutch of eggs from our Leopard het pied ball python . 5 lovely big eggs from this 1st time breeder . We also were greeted by a little visitor to our back garden in the form of this cool adult mommy hedgehog . Ive seen her babies running around but not had a sighting of her for a while so that was a pleasant suprise .
This last week we were also lucky enough to find a big female grass snake on our travels and for the 1st time we got to see how this species of snake shames death by opening their mouth and doing their best impression of dying . Really cool to see .

Our latest clutch of eggs laid here at NMP today is from our Bumblebee to firemochi pairing . How cool would it be if one of the 5 eggs she laid contains a 5 gene baby of enchi fire pastel spider mojave .

Things are starting to get busy again here at NMP . We had our big Fire Ball python lay a healthy clutch of 9 eggs today and yesterday our baby pieds shed and fed for the first time . Storm our baby barn owl chick is also growing fast and has lost most of her fluff . Exciting times ahead .
