Here are a few of my recent passengers...
Kiko, an Akita cross Boxer needed his Booster vaccination at YourVets Sheldon. He really was a gentle giant, weighing 53kg!
Poor Patsy, the rescued Rough Collie had to have emergency surgery at James Horner Vets for a Pyometra (infected uterus) and then needed an overnight stay at Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Service.
Little Gabbi also spent time at The Willows having a lump removed. Her owner has now got the hard job of keeping her rested!
They all got to and from the Vets safely with my help 🐾🐶😺🚕

Busy day with trips to three different Vets!
First I took the very lively Retriever Noorie to Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Service for her check up after having surgery.
Then Teddy was back to 608 Vet Practice for a follow up after his dental a few weeks ago.
Finally, Patsy the Rough Collie needed a lift home from James Horner Vets after her dental.

I had a call from a distressed owner Saturday evening. Her dog was crying in pain and she was unable to get him in the car by herself. As you can see Leo, a 9 year old German Shepherd, is quite big! He actually weighed 47kg.
Once we arrived at 608 Vet Practice he was seen straight away and the Vet found that he was very painful over his hips. We think he had slipped in the garden and as he is an older chap is probably quite arthritic too. He had a painkiller injection and was given some tablets to take over the next few days.
His owner was really thankful for my help especially as it was a very wet and windy Saturday evening.
I am not always available out of hours but it's always worth asking and I will help if I can.

This is Bruno, such a gentle boy with the biggest smile 🙂
His owner would normally walk him to the Vets but he has become a little anxious recently with all the fireworks. He was super excited to have a lift with Pawsome Pet Taxi.
I was able to take the stress out of the Vet visit for both Bruno and his owner 🐾🚖🐶

This is Jan, she is a two and half year old Labrador, she is very special as she is also a Guide Dog. She had been sick a few times and her owner was worried so she called 608 Vet Practice who arranged an appointment for her to be checked. The receptionist then called me to help with transport.
Jan and her owner were visiting the area so it was all very unfamiliar for both of them. They both needed extra support. I was able to help guide the owner and also hold onto Jan whilst the Vet examined her. Luckily it wasn't anything too serious so after a quick injection I was able to get them safely home.
Definitely one of my most rewarding trips 🐶🐾🦮

Beautiful Bronte, one of my smallest passengers! She is a 10 month old Chihuahua and super cute. She was at 608 Vet Practice to be neutered. Her owner doesn't drive so needed help to get her home safely. As she is so small I made sure she stayed nice and warm by wrapping her in blankets.
Added bonus for me is that I bumped into Milo (the Cocker Spaniel from last week) when I dropped her off. He has recovered really well from his operation so hopefully Bronte will too 🤞🐶🐾

This is Millie, she is a 10 year old English Springer Spaniel. She needed to get to YourVets Sheldon to have her bandage changed. Her owner was very grateful for my help and they were both home in no time for a much needed rest 🐶🐾
Millie was a very happy girl and a perfect passenger 🙂

It was a big day for little Milo (and his owners!) this week. He was booked in to be neutered so needed to get to 608 Vet Practice nice and early. It happened to be a day I was on shift so I was able to pick them up and bring them to work with me. Milo recovered really well from the anaesthetic so I dropped him home at lunchtime. His owners were very happy it was all over and now have the hard job of keeping him rested 🐶🐾🚖

Beautiful Nicky was in need of a trim. She is such a happy little dog and behaved so well for the Groomer. Her owner was very pleased with the service I provided and has already rebooked me for her next appointment.

We had a great night at the Guide Dog Quiz last night. Over 100 people took part and they raised over £1000! 👏
I didn't take Lexi, my Labrador, but she did pose for a photo in her Guide Dog bandana when we got home ❤ 🦮

Teddy was back to the 608 Vet Practice for a check up after his Dental. He did have a couple of teeth removed and his owner was worried because he wasn't eating as much as usual.
The nurse was able to reassure her that his gums were healing well and advised her to feed him soft tasty food for a few more days.
Teddy's owner is elderly and needed a little extra help so we stopped off at Pets at Home to get some supplies. Hopefully he will be back to eating properly soon 🤞

Had a lovely afternoon at The Vet Clinic at Birmingham Dogs Home open day. It really is worth a visit, it had a very calm feel about it and is set in beautiful surroundings.

How cute is this little one?! ❤
Bumble is a Golden Retriever puppy. I had the pleasure of taking her to Doggy Day Care this week. It was an early pick up and Bumble was so full of energy and excitement. It really was a great way to start the day 🐾

Poor little Trixie wasn't very impressed with her day out on Thursday.
She was booked in at YourVets Solihull to be neutered.
Her owner was unable to get her to the Vet so asked for my help.
I picked her up first thing and collected her later that day to take her home. I also collected medication for her Doggy sister whilst I was there.
She's booked in for a post op check next week, so we will do it all over again, sorry Trixie 😾

Teddy's owner was worried about him as he was dribbling a lot and not eating as much as he normally would. His owner was elderly and didn't drive so she was given my number by 608 Vet Practice.
She was delighted with the service and has rebooked for me to take him back to the Vets for a dental in a couple of weeks.

Dora's owners had a bit of a surprise today...
They have only had her a few weeks and had noticed she was looking a bit 'rounder' recently. I helped with getting her to the Vets for a check over and it was discovered that she is pregnant! She was already pregnant before they rehomed her and they were certainly not planning on her having puppies so it was a bit of a shock.
