Handsome blind boy Gabriel is still with us and looking for his forever home and humans 🤞🏼🏡
Gabriel came to Little Legs before Christmas after his owner was going to put him to sleep because of his lack of sight at only four years old. Gabriel had one eye removed due to a ruptured corneal ulcer, then developing an ulcer in his remaining eye 💔 you can see the bluey scarring on his eye which means he is now sadly completely blind.
Despite this, Gabriel is fun and loving. He is in foster with lots of other dogs and only feels intimidated by the much larger ones. He loves playing in water and with the hose pipe, chin scratches and snacks. When he comes for a cuddle he likes to smell and nibble your face to show affection. He has amazing hearing and smell and finds his way around very well with a little guidance. He’s even started to initiate play with the other Frenchies. He does this by leaning in and rubbing up alongside them, they in turn like to nuzzle and chase him very gently. They definitely know he’s special and they are very kind to him.
We know the disabled dogs like Gabe can take a long time to rehome, so for now he’s living as a long term resident with our other broken biscuits. Still perfect to us just a little damaged on the outside 🥰💕🏡🐶🐶🐶🐶 but aren’t we all? 🐾

Welcome to Little Legs Brenda! Big Brenda is an older girl, previously been used for breeding and now settling into foster with some chihuahua friends.
Brenda has come to us very grossly overweight and quite timid, she will be staying in long term foster to help her lose some weight and gain some confidence. She’s on two short walks a day and a low fat diet to help her shed some pounds.

🐾🐾🐾 ADOPTION POST FOR OBI 🐾🐾🐾

Handsome Obi is a four year old Pointer x Lab and he is looking for a new home due to his family’s change in circumstances meaning he is not getting the time or attention he needs. He looks like a lean Labrador with lovely long legs and he is high energy and will thrive with an active home.

Obi is described as being a loving and friendly boy, a delight to walk but he can be a little bit anxious so is looking for a self assured human who can boost his confidence. He’s good with other dogs and has lived with children but we don’t know about cats.

Obi is castrated, fully vaccinated and up to date with all his flea and worm treatment. The wonderful has also offered to be on hand to offer his new adopters advice with settling in and training moving forward.

Obi is staying with his current family until we can find a suitable new home to avoid the stress of foster, but time is of the essence as a house move is coming up.

A home check will be completed by us for any prospective adopters and a donation of £100 towards the long term residents here at Little Legs 🐶

Another day another vet trip! Gabriel has been for a check of his eye. He has no vision in it, but we are trying to avoid surgery to remove it for as long as possible. Due to his lack of sight he is clumsy so we have to make sure he doesn’t damage his remaining eye by bumping into things.
Fiona arrived at Little Legs with an active corneal ulcer and she has had sore eyes for the last couple of days, so she had a thorough check and some antibiotic drops to help.
French Bulldogs can be prone to issues with their eyes so it’s very important to be mindful with them. Despite their complications, we love a Frenchie here at Little Legs 🥰💕🐶🐶🐾
