It is with a heavy heart we have been informed of the closures of two local catterys. We are all very saddened to hear this and understand that this will be heartbreaking for them and their loyal customers. The team at Stevedon Cattery wish the owners all the best for the future and are sending our love. πŸ’žπŸ’ž This does mean that we now find ourselves dealing with new customers who are now looking for accommodation for their cats.
Please do not hesitate to book your cats in for their future stays. If unfortunately you find yourself looking for a new cattery, due to the sad closure of your usual cattery, we invite you to come for a viewing to see our facilities, have a chat with the team and ask us any questions you may have. All ages of cats are welcome (and loved just as equally) please contact us in the office 01775724159 or our mobile on 07497366731.
(Office hours are 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, weekends and Bank Holidays are 9am - 12pm lunchtime)

Good morning all. We had a lady come into us saying she has a stray cat living in her barn, swindlers drove area. She brought it in for us to check the microchip, but unfortunately it isn't chipped. We believe she is a girl. She is very friendly and loving and used to being handled. She is grey and white. We will not share photos as if the owner comes forward proof of ownership will be required. If you think this may be your cat please contact Mickie on 07540765544

News from the Cattery: From June 2024, it will become the law that all cats in the UK must be microchipped by five months old. Failing to do so could result in a fine for owners of up to Β£500. Microchipping usually costs less than Β£20, carries no known health risks, and can help you to be reunited with your cat should it get lost. Owners should always remember to update their pet's microchip details if they change their telephone number no or move house.

"We visited Stevedon having read excellent reviews and were immediately impressed by how clean and well organised it is. The owners took as much time as we wanted explaining the operation and showing us round.

Our 18 year old cat had never been in a cattery but a family funeral meant we had to leave him for 2 nights.....we needn't have worried. He was made extremely comfortable and given a spacious pen with lower steps on which blankets had been placed where he could easily reach the upper stages. He seemed perfectly happy when we collected him and in no great hurry to come home!

Very much a 5 star experience and 100% recommended. Many thanks to the whole Stevedon team"

"I am so happy to have found Stevedon Cattery and couldn’t recommend strongly enough. After a difficult experience at a different cattery, I was very anxious to leave Rambo again, but the team reassured me and allowed me to pop round for a visit to see the space and how they operate.

This is a group of wonderful people who feel like family and care deeply for the animals they look after, as well as the owners of those in their care. I was immediately reassured walking in and meeting the team. Everyone was so caring, kind and had fantastic rapport with one another.. as well as the cats!

I was shown around by Sarah who knew every single cat in the 30+ spaces, she knew little quirks about them all, what food and fuss they liked and I knew straight away that Rambo would definitely be looked after here.

When I brought Rambo, the team again were so reassuring let her and I take our time and to my absolute surprise she came out of her case and started exploring straight away - like me, she got a great feel from minute 1 of being there!

The atmosphere and surroundings are just bliss - open air flowing through, sunshine, lovely and quiet with a hum of radio in the background and just filled with happy cats on their holiday! Beautifully kept grounds and space, with great security around the cat cubby area.

One of the absolute best parts was that whilst I was on the beach abroad I received a beautiful message and video, further reassuring me that Rambo was happy and I was able to see her completely comfortable and chilled and being perfectly cared for, and this made all the difference for me - so a huge thank you to Sarah for going above and beyond, it really made all the difference.

Finally, when I returned to collect Rambo, she was somewhat a celebrity amongst the team - they all adored her, knew her character, played and fussed with her and she was loving it so much, I had to wrestle her into her carry case to bring her home, she absolutely did not want to leave - what an incredible sign of a wonderful place and the outstanding care, especially after such an awful experience previously, she was absolutely loving every minute of her stay, and I know she will love going back in the future.

I cannot thank the Stevedon team enough - what you have is something incredibly special, and we are so lucky to have you nearby, any cat is very lucky to stay with you, and any owner will I’m sure feel exactly the same as I do - incredibly grateful for such a wonderful place.

Thank you"

World Class Sculpture

Stevedon Cattery are now displaying a breath taking sculpture at the five star cattery premises in Spalding, Lincolnshire. Made using the royal Sandringham estates oak and carved in commemoration of the late Queen’s 70th year on the throne.

Owners Geoff Wright pictured with wife Norma : β€œWe’ve been lucky enough to acquire a master piece from award winning sculptor Shane Green who has a worldwide reputation in the art world. This piece was commissioned by Living Heritage to celebrate the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022. You have to see it to believe its magnificence and it is a fitting tribute to our late Queen Elizabeth II.”

Visit www.yorkshirecarver.com to check out his other master pieces.

Royal Oak

The oak was donated by the Queen’s then Sandringham estate. A right royal tribute as in 1966 after being on the throne for 14 years, one of the Queen’s highlights was presenting the World Cup seen carved here in the sculpture along side a football and pair of boots, the three lions shield and St George’s flag flying from a flag pole.

The Jules Rimet trophy was handed to the late Bobby Moore OBE at Wembley, after England's 4-2 victory in the World Cup final against West Germany.
