It only takes a message to cancel your appointment instead of just not turning up! I had to say no to someone today that could have had that appointment! Its just plain rude! Please people if you cant come for any reason, i understand things happen, its really not a problem but please just have the decency to cancel! Rant over!!

A sad but heartwarming story. I scanned a GSD "Heidi" who was around 28 days after mating..found puppies but also a nasty bladder infection.So advised her owners to see the vet straight away. I also saw she was re absorbing sacs,so we re scanned to keep an eye on the viable sacs. I will let Heidi's owner tell you her story ... We were so happy to find out that our gorgeous German shepherd Heidi was expecting a litter, we learnt that Heidi had absorbed atleast one puppy but weren’t too worried as this can be quite common. She did have some bleeding early in the pregnancy and it was confirmed by vets that she had a bladder infection treated by antibiotics. Once the course of antibiotics was finished, the bleeding had stopped and Heidi’s pregnancy seemed to go well. The day came when Heidi went into Labour, this is when things started to go wrong. We noticed she wasn’t progressing to took her to the vets when they told us she needed an emergency cesarean as the puppies heart rates were dangerously low. Of course we signed the consent form and off she went into theatre. We got a call 2 hours later to say that the cesarean went well but sadly only one puppy had survived. We collected Heidi and her little puppy and brought them both home, Heidi began to bleed from her wound and had to be rushed back into surgery, we were heartbroken when the vets called us to tell us she didn’t make it. We were in shock and suddenly realised we had to hand rear a new born puppy, that of course we decided to keep ! Fast forward 3 weeks and he is thriving ! We named him Kaiser and we love him so much ! ❤️
