Our professional dog grooming services are designed to meet your dogs individual needs and requirements. Each dog is given a free consultation at the beginning of every appointment to ensure that their groom is suit

ed to your dog and the right style for you, your dog and your lifestyle! Our Head stylist, Alida Downie has been involved in the animal world all her life and has been working specifically within the dog industry for the last 6 years; grooming, breeding, handling and assiting in showing dogs. She graduated with a degree in Animal Behaiviour and Welfare from Oxford Brookes in 2011 and then went on to gain an NCFE in dog grooming in 2012 before starting at Paws For Thought grooming that year. Alida established herself within the salon at Paws For Thought for 3 years before deciding to buy the business herself and start out again as Makeover Rover. Alida is a passionate and caring groomer who will attend to your dog in the best way possible so rest assured your dog is in safe and knowledgeable hands. Our Services
Full groom (timings between grooms advised at consultation)
Our full groom includes everything your dog needs to look and feel wonderful. The service includes dead hair removal, full brush out, nail trim, pad and paw trim, ears plucked and cleaned, 2 shampoos, 1 conditioning treatment, a**l glands (By request), warm blow dry, coat styling as discussed in consultation, finished with a luxury canine cologne. Bath and fluff dry (inbetween grooms or for low maintenance breeds)
For dogs with high maintenance coats or for dogs that don't require full grooming sessions. A great way to prevent matting, masses of shedding and keeps your dogs skin coat in good condition. This includes 2 shampoos, 1 conditioning treatment, a warm blow dry and finished with our luxury canine cologne. Hand stripping (every 6-12 weeks)
Hand stripping is available for wire coated breeds with appropriate coats. After-care consultancy, including advice on coat care maintainance. Pawdicures
Nail trim, between the pads trim and a gentle paw massage. Puppy Grooming
Recommended for puppys as soon as they have had their vaccinations, thus introducing your pup to the routine of grooming . A gentle brush through will be followed by a relaxing body wash using gentle shampoo. The shampoo helps conditions and adds texture to your puppies coat and also help to remove any dead hair which tends to build up quite heavily in puppies. A warm blow dry encourages your pup to relax in the grooming environment ready for future appointments and full grooming sessions. De-Matting
This service is only offered to dogs of a suitable age, condition and temperament and depends on the severity of matting. This will only be agreed upon after a consultation and may take more than one appointment to complete. This service will incur extra charge depending on the extra time required.

With the current rise in cases of parvovirus in the area, we are taking all the precautions we can to ensure all the dogs are as safe as possible while with us ♥️ We disinfect the full salon daily and clean common areas in between as well. We also use a high grade disinfectant called parvovirucide which is designed for places commonly used by dogs eg kennels, groomer, vets etc.

I will also be placing a foot bath by the entrance to the pod to use if wanted 🐾

To minimise risk of transmission, I will be asking that instead of our usual 72hour rule for vomiting or Diarrhoea, that customers please allow atleast 1 week after any bouts of vomiting or diarrhoea before attending grooming appointments to try and protect everyone ♥️

I would please ask that if your dog is showing any symptoms within 48 hours after a grooming appointment to let us know so that we can minimise risk.
