Livery spotlight:

Introducing April, Major and their owner Elinor!

Major

April

April moved to Craigie early this summer and was joined shortly by Major. They are both loving the very relaxed atmosphere at the yard and April is regularly found snoozing in her stable. When not tucked in for the night they can be found out enjoying the hacking or schooling in the new arena.

β€˜The horses and I settled into Craigie very quickly and it feels like we have been here for a long time. The grooms are extremely helpful and treat the livery horses like their own. The hot water wash bay and solarium are amazing for keeping my cobs feathers lovely and clean. The yard is a fantastic base for progressing April’s education with the school and XC jumps and for the quieter life for Major with the endless hacking.’

Yesterday afternoon, Craigie horses and Craigie liveries were plaited and preened to within an inch of their lives, for the online Drum RDA virtual show.

It was exciting to step back into something of a showing environment for everyone, no matter how removed from normality it may have been.

Thank you to everyone for getting involved and to those who came along to help make it a roaring success. @ Craigie Farm Livery Yard

We enjoy a fantastic community at Craigie.

Spending time at the stables is an excellent boost for mental health and we want the yard to be like a second home to our liveries, where they can relax and enjoy time with their equine friends.

LIVERY SPOTLIGHT!

πŸ¦„πŸ’•

This time it is the turn of the one and only Sparkles! Sparkles came to join us earlier this year with her little human Evelyn and Super Mum, Emily and is fast becoming a yard favourite!

Sparkles
Rising 4yo
Shetland Pony

"We joined Craigie livery yard in February this year with Sparkles; my 3 year old daughter Evelyn’s Shetland pony. We are usually found enjoying this fabulous yard and all it has to offer with a double buggy- baby in one side, puppy in the other, Evelyn riding about on Sparkles and Penelope the miniature dachshund keeping us in check! Some of Evelyn’s favourite things to do include β€˜lead robing’ Sparkles around and around and around her paddock, and distracting wonderful yard manager Nicola from her work! Being able to just walk out the gate onto off road tracks and forest hacks is such a luxury that we take full advantage of.
We’ve had the warmest welcome into the Craigie yard community and feel very lucky we found this special yard. Sparkles is rising 4 years old so right at the beginning of her education, taking everything in her stride, so we’ve got lots to look forward to! Evelyn aspires to Sparkles becoming the fastest race horse in the world so we’ll start by working on that!

Solariums have a plethora of benefits for our four legged friends.
Not only can they help to dry off after rainy or sweaty exercise, but they can help cold-backed horses to warm up muscles before exercise, promote healing, encourage relaxation and assist in the development of top line condition.
