We met at Bourne Woods for one of our sessions supporting our fundraising for Three Counties Dog Rescue and had great fun, with Lenny never (apart from some of the photos) without his ball and Charlie doing his best to keep up.

Please avoid walking your dog in the heat, or playing with your dog in the garden in the heat of the day.

With preparation and a few changes to your routine, you can drastically reduce the chance of your dog getting heat stroke:

✅ Ensure your dog has access to shade at all times
✅ Bring water out on walks, for your dog as well as for you
❌ Avoid walking your dog at hotter parts of the day
✅ When out walking, take regular stops in shaded areas
✅ Use sun cream on dogs with pale or thin fur
❌ Don’t walk your dog on a pavement that’s too hot
❌ NEVER leave them alone in the car

*Further Update*

After the Government’s announcement last night at least I have a date when hopefully I can fully reopen (12th April).

I am still open for welfare grooms so please get in touch if you are concerned as I am doing vet referrals.

*UPDATE*

Just an update so you all know what’s happening.

I am open but only for welfare grooms referred by a vet (which I need evidence of). This is for insurance purposes.

This will be the position until the restrictions are lifted by the Government, which hopefully won’t be too long.

If you are worried about your dog please contact your vet. I have been able do some dogs this week which have been referred so it is possible if needs be.

Please wear a mask if you do attend, use the hand sanitizer provided and keep 2 meters apart.

During and after an icy spell there will be a lot of salt and grit on our roads and pavements. To prevent irritation and inflammation of your dogs paws, remember to wash them with warm water after each walk.
