Matted coats - Cute Cuts Dog Grooming
A topic that really needs addressing. just a handful of dogs from the last few weeks. this HAS to stop its not fair on the dogs. BRUSH YOUR DOG. This needs to stop being a normal ok thing! Dogs coats need at the very least a FULL brush and comb out every week.
Matting like this can cause bruising to the skin, skin irritations, sore spots, it can make moving uncomfortable and painful, it can make your dog miserable and imapct negatively on their mental health too, day in day out, it can also make the grooming process a uncomfortable one somthing that groomers NEVER want, we pride ourselves in trying to make the grooming process a positive happy one.
There is also so much extra wear and tear on our tools, our body's and our mental health too
Owners are quick to blame and be mad at groomers when the groom doesn't look how they want or if the dogs have to be shaved down.

Thankfully this is NOT a majority and I have SO many fabulous owners that look after there dogs coats impeccably and always checking in to improve their home grooming between the professional grooms but it is a stark reminder ONLY to those who lack in the proper care of their dogs coats.
