Iteresting

The best advice I ever got in my life is when someone told me, “When someone tells you about your flaws or limitations, they’re lying and they’re wrong.”

And I remember when I first heard that advice, I thought, “How do you know they’re lying or wrong? Maybe... maybe they are right.”

But the truth is, the person who gave me this advice was 100% correct.

When someone tells you negative things about your flaws, or they say negative things about you, or they tell you about your limitations, they are wrong. They’re lying.

And the reason that this is true is because people do not talk to you about YOU. They talk to you from their perspective of themselves towards you.
