**Welfare Post**
We are shocked to see the condition of poor Marge who came into us as a stray at the beginning of last week weighing in at 14kg. Her normal weight should be 20kg+. This poor girl was completely emaciated and in a very poor condition with sores all over.
She was immediately taken to the vets where she had a full assessment and put on antibiotics. Her tail was in a very bad state. She has obviously been sleeping rough for a while because of the state of her skin. She will continue on pain relief and antibiotics but the tail will have to be amputated once she is well enough.
The vet and staff were very worried about her but after a week of love. care and plenty of food (she's on 5 meals a day) she has started to put on weight. She has a coat on constantly to keep her nice and warm.
We do however need your support with Marge, she needs a lot of care, food and of course veterinary costs to pay for. If you can, please donate so we can make sure Marge is fit and well as soon as possible. Your donations, as always, make a huge difference. We will keep you updated with Marge and her progress.
