🍑 PEACHES 🍑

Wee Peaches is absolutely stunning, inside and out.

She’s only 7 and a half months old…so still a baby, but she’s getting confident and wanting to work her way up the herd rankings 😂

We got her from Michelle at Highhaleck pygmy goats along with another wee girl who we named Sweettooth 😁 Michelle has some really lovely Pygmies, we are super grateful she let us have Peaches and Sweettooth. (Michelle was also a VERY big supportive influence when Phoebe was kidding - was very comforting to know we had her knowledge and experience close-by during Phoebe’s labour!)

Peaches is great friends with all the horses…think our biggest horse Alfie has a soft spot for her as I often see them grazing together much closer than he allows any of the other horses or goats 😍😃 xx

👑Danefield Gaston👑 became a Daddy for the first time last night. He hasn’t met his kids yet but he seems pretty chuffed 😄

🥰👋🏼GOOD MORNING👋🏼🥰

Phoebe is doing great and was very keen when I offered her breakfast 😃

Both kids have full bellies and look bright and strong this morning (although, when I first went in they were sound asleep ❤️❤️)

We’ve named the girl 💫Aurora💫

We haven’t settled on a name for the boy yet, must begin with letter “A”, and not be a name we’ve called any of our other animals…(which makes it tricky 😂😂). If you’ve any suggestions please comment 💝

If anyone is unsure just how tiny these kids are…they are literally the size of a guinea pig 😱😱🤗🤗 (actually, my adult male guinea pig is a bit bigger😂) sooooo tiny, but just perfect little miniature versions of an adult pygmy goat 🤩🤩 When we checked on them late last night they were starting to try to binki (jump, hop and spin) like spring lambs do in the field 😂🫢😂 such incredible little babies, only hours old and already playing about ❤️

Woohoo - it’s our 12th wedding anniversary and Phoebe gave us the best gift!!

She had the most textbook labour and was a total champ through the whole thing…she delivered two gorgeous healthy kids this afternoon all on her own (with us watching over her).

A lovely wee brown and white girl was delivered first and very attentively cleaned off by proud Phoebe who just knew exactly what to do.

Then not long after, a bigger black boy with a lovely white face marking and adorable sugared ears arrived and was welcomed by Phoebe and cleaned perfectly.

Phoebe is doing great. And both kids have had a fair few drinks and snoozes.

We are all absolutely besotted ❤️ and so relieved Phoebe delivered her kids safely x

Up at 6.05am because of the crow scarer that sounds like it’s right outside my bedroom 😩😩😩

So….I got up to check on Pheebs.

Full Term - day 150 💫👍🏻

She’s looking well. Bright and active, came up for a cuddle. No different from yesterday other than her udder continues to fill up (must feel really heavy now!!)

All good…will update as she progresses xx

💝Day 149💝

Phoebe is still happily eating and drinking as normal. Even more cuddly than normal last night and this morning.

She’s also got a gurgly tummy and is burping a lot 😂.

Her udder is a little fuller than last night I think… so all progressing in the right ways 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

She’s such a lovely girl. I really hope everything goes smoothly 😩

Phoebe is on 🤩day 148🤩 of her pregnancy.

She seems totally fine and very content eating and drinking normally.

Came up for a cuddle this morning like she usually does.

Her udder is filling up like it should be, ready to feed her kid(s) when the time comes.

Eeeek…it’s so exciting 🥰

💝PHOEBE💝

Another stunning girl from Clare’s Brucklay Pygmy Goats.

We brought her home at the same time as Myrtle. Phoebe had been with us for less than 24 hours when she escaped the stable and wee pen…she was missing for hours! Luckily she made her way back and has never wandered too far since 😂😅

She really enjoys living in a mixed herd with the horses and ponies and can often be seen munching hay alongside them or lying down next to them 😊 I once saw her standing on Torrins back when he was lying down…but I wasn’t quick enough to get a photo!

She’s in kid to our gorgeous billy, Gaston 🥰 and is due any day now. She’s friendly and has been letting me scratch her tummy where she can’t reach, I’m pretty sure I felt a baby move!!!

I promise to keep you all updated on Phoebes progress 💝

First up for introductions….

🥰MYRTLE🥰

She’s a 2 year old registered pygmy nanny bred by Clare at Brucklay Pygmy Goats. We got her as a young kid and knew straight away she was a perfect example of a pygmy.

She’s pretty bossy with newcomers but once she’s accepted them she’s generally chilled out. She likes to play with the younger goats when it suits her and she LOVES linseed lozenges (aka Goat Crack 🤣) x

Morning! We haven’t properly introduced ourselves or our pygmy goats yet, so over the next wee while I’ll be sharing photos and details of all our lovely goats. We are based just outside Fyvie, Turriff and have a lovely, friendly heard of cheeky Pygmies who share grazing with our horses and ponies.

We are registered with The Pygmy Goat Club, have registered nannies and a registered billy.

…and we are really hoping to have some kiddies soon 🥰
