Ok it's been a little minute since posting on here, the last few years haven't been the best in all fairness.

But it's time to bring the field back to some kind of order rather than a over grown meadow 🤣

We kept if quiet for a few days just to see if everyone made it out safely.

But Shirley who was sat on 6 eggs, 2 were duds and 1 stopped developing mid way.

Unfortunately 2 hatched but didn't survive but she's quite happily looking after 1 little chick.

For those who saw Craig Asquith comment on our page the other day.

We message him privately to discuss his issue with any of the team at Little Field.

From the previous occupants posts on West Yorkshire Urban Farms various social media.

We located some of the birds in with people may have rehomed to them and can only presume they are with Craig now and possibly the stolen Turkeys too although this can neither be confirmed or denied.

Since then Marc has received various threats from Craig who has now decided to take it upon himself to visit the field when no one is there.

The matter has now been passed over to West Yorkshire Police

There is a separate video that was sent by Craig to one of our volunteers that will be posted shortly.

Tagging the birds from yesterday and treating scaly leg is so much fun....not 🤣

For those who aren't aware of what scaly leg is, it's a mite that burrows under the scales on chickens legs causing irritation.

Chicken legs should be nice a smooth, here's a picture from Google.

Thankfully just after 24hrs of treatment, old scales are beginning to come loose and fall off 😁

If you've ever had the delight of Scabies like Marc & Jamie have, you'll understand exactly how these poor chooks are feeling.

It's official, we've run out of housing for Cockerels.

With an influx of male birds we now no longer have space for anymore once the final two arrive in the next day or so.

With a lot having lice or scaly leg currently being treated it will be at least 2 weeks before we can start placing them up for rehoming.
