I posted yesterday about this cat being dumped outside the shelter. It seems to have upset some people who thought I was out of order mentioning it. One person is threatening to report me to the charity commission... this cat was... dumped lose late at night outside two locked gates on a busy rd. He was confused and very frightened. He was there over a month before trapped. He is emaciated. I have not pasted the cctv footage.
It was cruel to do this! So.if anyone thinks my post wrong. I disagree. If you think this is right then seriously your not an animal lover. And if you think it is right to dump cats when people are waiting patiently on a list, some very desperate for help then you are wrong! We are trying to get to you. We ate doing our best. We are overloaded. Finding it hard to cope with the volume. So do not come in swinging your cat like a trophie Jo. Wait your turn. We will get to you!

To the person who dumped this cat outside the shelter about a month or so ago. Just to put your mind to rest we've finally trapped him. We had no space to get him sooner. Plus he kept disappearing and was so frightened we couldn't get hold of him. He has been a month without food sos very emaciated. Although we were trying to feed him the other cats and foxes obviously kept eating it. But don't worry we are giving gentle food as he can't cope with much else. And of course incase your concerned we'll pay for his neuter, chip, vaccinations, wormer and flea treatment, so you can have a nice night's sleep knowing he is now safe!

We meet some wonderful people in rescue, but we also meet the dregs of the earth. So many people have turned up with cats, not even realising the overload of rescues and a huge waiting list for spaces. A revolting individual turned up today acting like a lottery winner to dump her cat. She was absolutely taken aback when we looked with horror at the carrier she was waving like a prize for us. 'I'm dumping him off cos I'm moving,' was her words! She rehomed him as a kitten, now 9 years old. She was horrified when we explained we had no space. Yes we did take him. The revolting woman went of dancing down the drive. What a lucky day for her. Not for him. No one rehomes 9 yr old cats. It is the same old stuff, though, and the same in rescue every day.
