My first thought was to delete the email. I'm not a fan of Graeme Hall. I've watched a few episodes of his show, and in my opinion, he seems to make things up as he goes along, relying on outdated training methods.

However, I was puzzled. Was the β€œcravat” unwell, and they needed a stand-in? I'm a nobody – why on earth would they want to film me training a dog when there are so many high-profile trainers out there? Curiosity got the better of me, so I decided to give the researcher a call.

I'm still in shock as I write this. The researcher explained that they wanted to invite me to Lytham with my Border Collie to "demonstrate" to Graeme Hall how I would train my dog not to respond to a phone ringtone.

Graeme would then take my training method and use it to teach the Border Collie of the family seeking help – all while filming it for his TV show!

WTF 😳😳😳

I decided to dig a bit deeper and reached out to the force-free dog training community to see if anyone else had experienced something this bizarre.

It turns out that many trainers had also been asked to attend filming sessions to show Graeme how to train dogs before the cameras rolled. Most reported that they refused because of his methods, but a few had shown him and his team how to train a dog, only to be dismissed without any credit for their expertise.

I then did some open-source research on "The Country’s Best Dog Trainer," as the *Daily Telegraph* calls him. He has no formal training in canine behaviour or training. He’s essentially winging it with the help of whatever trainers are willing to show up and assist him.

According to his website, he charges Β£875 per session πŸ€”πŸ˜§

Now I’m not someone who normally criticises other trainers. I prefer to let my clients decide if I’m the right trainer for them based on how I work with their dogs.

However, I couldn’t let this pass without making it public knowledge.

If you're looking for a dog trainer, please avoid this programme and this man. You have no idea whose techniques he’ll be using week to week, and given that most qualified and accredited trainers want nothing to do with him, the quality of training you’ll receive is questionable at best.

Instead, do your own research and find a local trainer who aligns with your own dog training ethics. Organisations such as The IMDT or APDT - Association of Pet Dog Trainers can help guide you to qualified & accredited trainers in your area.

I am proud to announce that I will be working in association with Chinese Red Dog Aid UK as one of their expert trainers! I was approached 3 months ago to foster a young Chinese red called Kallie who had a rough start to life. The intention was to help her gain confidence in life and around males especially but I fell in love with her and decided to keep her! They have asked me to be a trainer to help those who are fostering dogs and especially those who are considering rehoming theirs. I couldn’t be more proud to be part of the team!

The recent events in Coventry are very sad and resulted in the loss of two lives. It has been suggested that the dog was a Belgian Malinois. These dogs are not your standard pet they are highly driven, highly intelligent and have a huge prey drive which is why they are perfect working breed. If you want to get one or have one its important to know that you have to but in the time to train them and socialise them. You as a human are responsible for that as you are responsible for your child's upbringing. Having one in your home requires commitment and training and no dog should ever be left with a child un-supervised.

Maybe one day the powers that be will finally understand that its the human not the dog.

My Malinois Phantom was human and is dog aggressive and he has required constant training and socialising to help you work through this issues. Here is exploring B&Q and as silly as it sounds this helps him deal with this fears. His kong is his world and its what I use to reward him for his good behaviour.

I am proud to announce that I will be working in association Pam Jameson of the Belgian Shepherd Dog Association of Great Britain and Belgian Shepherd Rescue UK I will be trying to help those owners who contact the association thinking of re homing their dog by offering support and training and also training and boarding for those unfortunate dogs that are handed over. Last year Team Bella came to Wolf K-9 as Bella was struggling with human and traffic reactivity. With constant positive re-enforcement training, good days and bad days Bella has come on leaps and bounds. Her human reactivity has continued to go from strength to strength only a few weeks ago Bella would lunge at cars passing. By rewarding her at the right time and increased human engagement she is doing so well, such an achievement πŸ₯‡β­οΈ Well done Team Bella. ⭐️Wolf Walking With Ajax⭐️ 🐺🐾🐺🐾🐺🐾🐺🐾🐺🐾🐺🐾🐺 Ajax is dog reactive and today we went on a Wolf Walk to Walton Hall. We came across a few off lead dogs but with high value reward (cheese) Ajax handled it like a trooper!. We also came across a heard of sheep which Ajax did start to react to so with the help of positive reinforcement we created space for both him and the sheep and rewarded his good behaviour. Other than a lead and standard collar no other tools are used in my training. Just positive reinforcement via verbal, toy or food reward. ⭐️Wolf Walking With Loki⭐️ 🐺🐾🐺🐾🐺🐾🐺🐾🐺🐾🐺🐾🐺 Loki is dog reactive and today we went on a Wolf Walk to Kenilworth Castle. We came across a few off lead dogs but with high value reward (cheese) Loki handled it like a trooper!. We also came across a heard of cows which Loki did start to react to so with the help of primula cheese we created space for both him and the cows and reinforced his good behaviour. Other than a lead and standard collar no other tools are used in my training. Just positive reinforcement via verbal, toy or food reward.
