Hailing from Warwickshire, Olivia Deane is a 20 year old international event rider who, whilst maintaining her studies at the Leicester University Law School, hopes to progress through the various levels of eventing, to acheive selection for the U21 training squad. Having been riding for eight years, Olivia gets on well with horses who are experiencing behavioural difficulties, finding that time a
nd patience can produce the best results from what are often misunderstood and talented animals. Over the past three years, Olivia has been eventing at an international level with her horse Country Lonestar, a British bred Selles Francais. Despite being a little small, and considerably inexperienced for his age, Neo joined the team in 2010 as a very nervous 6 year old. Three years later he has gone on to compete at the Festival of British Eventing. Although now being confined to one horse, given the time constraints of studying at University, Olivia endeavours to remain involved with the local community and has several part time rides that have behavioural problems. These horses range from 4 year olds to 13 year olds and their problems are varying. Flying the flag for amateur riders Olivia hopes that in providing knowledge and support to local owners and their horses, who may be aiming for lower level success without the support of a proffessional trainer, she represents a pillar of understanding, fair treatment and overall success and enjoyment for both horse and rider. After all, a horse that is doing as it is told, is not the same as a horse that has learned to do as it is asked. Her coaching is varied, affordable, and most importantly understanding, the same quality and time being provided no matter what your ability or aims. Horses are also welcome on Olivia's yard for a more intense period of training and work.
