It’s always hard to say goodbye to clients, after spending so much time with the dogs you start to treat them like your own and get very close with them and the owners!
Taylu and buster are moving to Taunton which is out of my catchment for the time being!
We wish them luck in their new house❤️

Mondays walks🥰 I’m doing morning walks only for the next couple of days and moved them forward an hour to make sure the dogs are comfortable!

Remember to check the temperature and the pavement before taking your dogs out in the heat! It is at peak temperature late afternoon so pavements have had all day to warm up, wait till the sun is down and check your weather app!

I sound like a broken record every year - but that’s because I still see people out with their dogs when it’s too hot - give them home enrichment for the daytime, scent games, frozen licky mats, kongs, puzzles. This won’t kill them - a walk when it’s too hot might.

On that note - enjoy the summer that has finally come!🥰🐶🐕🐕‍🦺🐩🦮

Welcome to Mr Sam!🥰 How long a puppy should walk for is very controversial - I wanted to put peoples minds at ease and encourage people to send their puppies to Leaps ‘n’ Bounds when they are young! We have an enclosed area, so dogs are not on a lead (unless it’s a smaller group I take for adventures), and made to walk at a pace for an hour! Our field mimics a large garden environment and older and younger dogs can sit down and take breaks when they need to. Now we all know puppy’s don’t always take their breaks, in which case I sit with them and make sure they take breaks if they are running round lots, to make sure they don’t do long term damage to their legs and back! Young dogs learn so much from other dogs, and exposing them to well rounded dogs early on is so beneficial to their learning and socialising! For example, Sam watched Mia go through the tunnel many times today, and so he copied her to see what the fuss was about, this may not seem like much, but I know lots of dogs who are scared of tunnels, or plastic bags because they haven’t been exposed to them at an early age, but now Sam is one step closer to being desensitised to things flapping in the wind and enclosed spaces! Don’t wait till they are 6months old, start as early as possible (when they have had all their jabs!)🐶 Can’t wait to see him grow🥰

As well as the paddock with agility and refreshments, we also have access to this larger enclosed field when there isn’t sheep grazing! They just love running through the long grass!😍🐶🦮🐩🐕🐕‍🦺

I was very privileged to take Bonnie to join her parents on their wedding day!🐶 She had a pet taxi to Clevedon and back and was able to join in on photos, and the ceremony🥰🐶🦮🐩🐕🐕‍🦺

After two weeks off, coming back to these faces has been amazing. Realising how much I love my job and being excited to come back to work makes me realise how bless I am! I am now off for another week in Corfu, so please feel free to send messages but again I may not get to them until I’m back a week Monday! Lots of you may know Aimie and Bailey from our walks and the help she gives me!🐶 She said a few weeks ago she wanted to do a training session to improved baileys focus and obedience around other dogs. So that’s what we did. She practises every day when out with us and this is the current result. She can call him away from his friends and get him focused on her whenever she wants. I can give you the tools, but it’s how hard you work on it that gets you here! This is what a few weeks of hard work looks like💪🏻💪🏻
