It's mad to think we are only a few days away from September!
I tend to start getting Christmas season requests during this month.
This year I have decided to take Christmas Day through to New Years Eve Eve (25th - 30th) off to chill and enjoy the season solely with family and friends.
I will continue to share this post frequently to ensure all can see. 🐈 🐕 🐇 🐦 🐟

I recently looked after these cuties and two cats from another household once more.
All are so incredibly unique in character, but these two definitely are the most loving pair, albeit very excitable.
It's always a pleasure.

When one of the cutest felines I know sees me walking down the street, let's out a tiny meow and runs to you.
I think that's Pickles' testament to my skills, love, and care.

Have you ever wondered what happens when extreme heat (for the UK) hits? If temperatures go above 25° I will not take a dog out in the heat.
Between 22-24° I will seek alternative activities like scent work and seek out shade and water sources whilst keeping a careful eye on your fur family members. Studies have shown that temperatures can affect many dogs from 20° (as per last years blog).

With one client, myself and the client have agreed to postpone due to the temperatures.

Yesterday morning, I took a little video at 10am by then it had reached 24°.
Alfie and I started our walk around 9.40am by 10.15am we were back at the car mooching in the shade whilst water (and treat) reserves were being increased.

It's 23° already, folks. I've arranged an earlier walk for the lovely Alfie. Please be careful as temperatures are due to hit 27° +
If your dog/pet loves a ball, ensure that it is a brief play. If they love water, get the paddling pool out. If they like to snooze, use a cooling blanket or get an old towel damp and lay it in a shaded area. Ensure plenty of water is available, too. This heat will go again over the weekend, but today is important to watch the heat!

I popped in to the lovely Charlie and Buddy a few weekends ago. They are two very loving Westies who always get excited to see me.

We had a mini walk due to the warmth and then chilled together for the remaining time. Always a pleasure.

Roxy, my cat, was most pleased to see her human mum again!

I completely understand that leaving your fur child with another person is a challenge. Not having them their to wake up to or go to for some strokes. It's hard.
My cat Roxy lives in Kent with my parents. She's 16.5 years old and really badly struggles with a short journey to and from the vets, let alone anything longer. She also has the countryside to explore (not that she goes far nowadays), hence why she stays in Kent.

I miss her dearly, she's my little snuggle bug who has helped me through so many difficult times.

I was away visiting family recently, I'd brought an owl experience voucher for my parents and they invited me along. Stunning creatures they are.

Recently, I looked after the sweet girl Maisy. She is a regular client.
Always a joy spending time with her.
She doesn't have it easy with arthritis. Trying to minimise a boxers natural bounciness is also a challenge! She couldn't be in safer hands, though. 😊
