Quirky, playful and full of energy, the French Bulldog is the epitome of a small dog with a big personality. Their small size and fun-loving nature makes them great playmates..

It was our great pleasure today at Posher Paws to meet Dolly’s new sister Ellie who came in for her pamper…

Dolly and Ellie came in for a full De shed which included sooth shampoo, marshmallow facial, full De shed, wrinkles cleaned, pads paws and nails and ears cleaned… and mum treated them to a new harnesses and leads… looking so beautiful when they left …🐶

🐾🐾 Double Coated Breeds🐾🐾

At Posher Paws we specialise in double coated breeds, double-coated dog have two layers of fur: a soft, insulating undercoat and a longer, coarser top coat. This type of coat is common in working and sporting dog breeds like

Akita, Australian Shepherd, Bernese Mountain Dog, Border Collie and Collies, Chow Chow, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, and Newfoundland to name a few.

We love the big dogs at Posher Paws and the amazing transformation this De shed brings once we have removed the dead undercoat and finished of with our hand scissor finish..

WHAT IS HAND STRIPPING?

At Posher Paws we don’t only offer full grooms we also specialise in Hand stripping

Hand stripping is a grooming process that involves removing dead hairs from the coat by hand instead of clipping to keep the coat tidy and neat.

As groomers we plucks the outer guard hairs from the coat entirely by hand when the coat is blown, and we then offer a hyperalogenic bath and brush with a hand scissor finish with paws pads and nails

Dogs with wiry coats tend to need hand stripping to groom to breed standard. This includes most of the Terrier group. Other breeds that require hand stripping include:

Schnauzers
Cocker Spaniels
Irish Wolf Hounds
Wire Fox Terrier
Wire-haired Pointers
Wire-haired Dachshunds
Border Terriers
