Searches are underway for missing Lancashire teenager Jay Slater, who was holidaying in Tenerife when he disappeared.

The 19-year-old from Oswaldtwistle was on the island with friends for a music festival, and last spoke to them at around 8am on June 17th.

He’d been to stay with people he’d met on the island after a night out, but has been in touch with his friend Lucy before setting off walking back. He said he was lost, needed a drink of water, and that he only had 1% battery left on his phone. He’s not been heard from since.

Family have flown out to Tenerife to join the searches, which are being conducted in the village of Masca, and the Rural de Teno park. Police are stopping motorists in the area and asking for any information on Jay’s whereabouts.

Helicopters, drones, and sniffer dogs have also been used during the search operations, and a spokesperson for the Civil Guard in Tenerife and said the emergency services are doing ‘everything possible’ to find the teenager.

We have 3 chunky, confident pups still looking for their new homes! Bluebell (blue boy), Snowdrop (silver girl) and Ash (brown boy)! All pups have been microchipped, wormed and had their first vaccination and vet check. They will come with a big puppy pack including their kennel club paperwork.

12 Dogue de Bordeaux Puppies KC Reg

12 chunky, gorgeous DDB puppies will be ready for their new homes soon!!

Our super cute, confident puppies are waiting for their new families. All pups and dogs live in the house with us.

We own both mum and dad, and both can be seen. Mum (Daisy) and dad (Memphis) are both great family pets, lovable with great temperaments!

Big, chunky pups all Kennel Club registered and will have been flead, wormed, microchipped and had their first vaccination. They will also have a big puppy pack, including their KC papers.

We have 7 boys and 5 girls!!

Pups can be seen from Friday 17th May when they are 4 weeks old.

A £200 deposit will hold your gorgeous puppy for you!

Ready to leave for their new forever homes at 8 weeks old on Friday 14th June.

I haven’t done any updates of pups for weeks!!! It’s been crazy here!

So here’s an update - sorry for the length!! Eek!

We had to move the pups from the big whelping pen into their play pen weeks earlier than we planned!! Ideally we like to keep them in the whelping pen until they are 3 or 4 weeks old, then move to the play pen. But just cos of fhe sheer amount of them and poor mum Daisy had no room at all, we had to move them at about 2 weeks old!! So that has been a bit nerve wrecking for me, worrying even more than usual about being so little in a ‘cage’ sided pen! 😫

Some bad news…
Sadly at 10 days old we had to have Dahlia (hot pink girl) put to sleep 😭 😭 😭 She woke that day and suddenly went downhill very quickly, I took her to the vets in the morning amd she was put on oxygen and in an incubator till late evening but the vets said it was Puppy Fading Syndrome and there was nothing that could be done. 😭😭😭😭😭 He vet said it was more humane to put her out of her misery and so we agreed to have her euthanised. It broke our hearts 💔 we’ve never lost a pup before!!! We were devastated and i just couldn’t face putting it on here at the time. We have her remains back and are looking for a little urn for her. Its still really sad but I think focusing on the others has helped a little 🙁

Some bad then good news…
Then a couple of days later Cosmos (black boy) lost a little weight, which instantly made us paranoid! (We have weighed them daily since birth) and so back to the vets we went!! Vets said it was normal and to keep an eye on him. 🙄 Over the next few days he had milk but seemed to be drinking less and a bit weaker, his weight stayed the same rather than going up… back to the vets!! The pup was struggling to latch on to mum but also the bottle, so we decided to give up on trying that and moved onto feeding him with a pipette instead. After a frightening few days he started to suckle the pipette and get stronger 🤞 🤞 so we kept going!! He has now moved back onto his mum and bottle feeding and is still smaller than the others but is running around and being a puppy now 🥰🥰🥰

The good news…
All the pups are now walking, having a little run, hearing, seeing, starting to lap from a bowl, play fighting!! and even trying the occasional bark 🥹🥹🐶🐶

I will try and upload some new pics soon, Ive been so busy just helping mum feed and clean them all that there hasn’t been a lot of time for much else - especially sleeping 😴 🤣 hopefully now as they get older we can stop sleeping in their room and go back to a proper bed!! 😜
