The lovely Dior who arrived into us on Friday has settled in really well. Today we have given her a nail trim. She definitely loves a cuddle. We have been in contact with the home we feel would be better suited for her and are in the process of arranging for them to visit very soon 💜

Hello All,

I haven't posted for a while about our pet food parcels. Donations slowed up and we were giving out what we could however we are getting more people asking for help along with our regular ones. If anyone has any pet food they no longer need or would like to donate some that would be really appreciated. Thank you and please share. We really need -

Whether your rabbits have bonded at home or with a bonding service, the work doesn't stop once they're bonded and in their forever space.

There are some things to keep in mind to ensure that their bond stays strong.

The most important thing is that you want to keep them together at all times. This means if one rabbit needs to go to the vet, their bonded friend/s must go with them, in the same carrier! This is so one rabbit doesn't come back with a different scent which can cause fights and also so they can give each comfort and support.

If your vet doesn't allow bonded friends to stay with them- you need to go to a different vet!

Scatter feeding is always a good idea as it helps prevent choking and food aggression.

I have found that in slightly more fragile bonds it helps to give food/attention to the most top bun first to respect their hierarchy. Rabbits don't include humans in their hierarchy like dogs do but they often seem more settled when the bun on top gets what they want first!

Sometimes, bonded rabbits have scuffles, disagreements or fights.

Never separate bonded rabbits, even if they seem to be unhappy with each other. Once they're separated you then have to start from scratch with rebonding and the separation can be very stressful.

Remember, although pairs and groups of rabbits can be difficult at times, it's a basic welfare requirement for all rabbits to have at least one friend and it's our job as their guardians to provide this.

Laura Louise Howarth, British Rabbit Council breeder from the Blackburn area of Lancashire, collects unwanted rabbits to feed to birds of prey. She gets some from her fellow BRC breeders and friends but might advertise elsewhere, without saying what it they are for, or collect rabbits that are free to good homes. Remember her name and face and share this poster to warn other rabbit owners. NEVER advertise a free rabbit!
This just shows once again what BRC breeders are like. They are not rabbit lovers. Many of the rabbits bred for competition are used, abused and then killed when no longer needed.

With Autumn fast approaching, we can confirm our Animal Foodbank will continue to run every Monday until further notice (see attached poster for details).

We understand times are difficult for many, so are utilising charitable donations from various organisations to help support our local community.

RSPCA Milton Keynes & N. Bucks Branch is the only animal charity currently offering this service.

Piggies enjoying some garden time whilst their shed has a full clean.

They have all been weighed and had their nails trimmed too. We like to keep an eye on their weights as being such a big group we don't want any losing weight from stress or being singled out but they have all gained a small amount of weight which is great.
