Veterinary Awareness Month 2024💉🩺

Veterinary Nursing can be a varied job, which can open up many opportunities to develop different skills and follow other career paths within the veterinary profession.

Many Veterinary Nurses go back into self directed studies doing diplomas or certificates in a speciality. This can range from the complexity of Anaesthesia, Pain management, Medical or Surgical nursing, to the uniqueness of exotic animal care.

However, some Veterinary Nurses may look to expand their career by taking on the challenge of becoming a lecturer at University or College. Many Veterinary Nurses enjoy pharmacology and Nutrition, so may look to develop their career by becoming representatives for different veterinary supply companies.

There is so much variety in becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse and the learning never stops.
