So, here's a thought.
You go on holiday, you leave your dogs in kennels or home boarding... that's at least £40 per night if you've got 2 dogs, chuck in a cat or two & you're fast approaching £65!
How about booking a reputable (DBS checked & dog first aid trained) fully insured house sitter who stays in your home instead. Great security, your animals stay in the comfort of their home, you get a homemade supper & flowers on your return.
If you want, you can add on to have your house cleaned, laundry done, lawns mowed....all by a reliable & professional house sitting company.

How to tire out cocker spaniels!!!
Credit to #sheriffhuttoncastle for walking with us & filming.
As it gets warmer, the 'shedders' amongst us need a good groom. We love the #furminator which helps to strip out the old coat quickly. The groom brush finishes off nicely. The shreds go into the bird feeder as the nesting birds love it at thus time of year.
Shedder or not, get brushing weekly to help spot/rid parasites too!

❌ RAPESEED! ❌
It’s that time of year again where farmers fields have blossomed into pretty yellow flowers, these plants are called rapeseed. Although it may be tempting to place your dog in the midst to take a scenic photo, please avoid this at all costs!
Rapeseed is extremely poisonous for dogs, especially in highly sensitive canines.
Rapeseed is listed by Dogs Trust as toxic to our dogs if ingested and can cause symptoms such as:
❌Haemolytic Anaemia
❌ Blindness
❌ Damaged Nervous System
❌ Digestive Disorders
❌ Breathing Problems
Even walking through these fields should be avoided!
Please seek immediate veterinary attention if your dog shows any signs of rapeseed poisoning!
Laptop open, dogs snoozing, sun shining & a view that suits me just fine! Loving work Wednesdays
Happy Saturday from us two blondes!!!
After a muddy walk with our lovely friend Emma (we needed extra hands to help)!. We've had a snack and are just meant to be drying off in the pen for 10 mins, but we've all zonked out!!
I've just seen this &, wow, so powerful & true
THINGS YOUR DOG WOULD TELL YOU...
1. My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years. Any separation from you will be painful: remember that before you get me.
2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.
3. Place your trust in me - it is crucial to my well being.
4. Do not be angry at me for long, and do not lock me up as punishment.
5. You have your work, your entertainment and your friends. I only have you.
6. Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don’t understand your words, I understand your voice when it is speaking to me.
7. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget.
8. Remember before you hit me that I have teeth that could easily hurt you, but I choose not to bite you because I love you.
9. Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate, or lazy, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I might not be getting the right food, or I have been out too long, or my heart is getting too old and weak.
10. Take care of me when I get old; you too will grow old. Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say: “I cannot bear to watch” or “Let it happen in my absence.” Everything is easier for me if you are there, even my death.
❤️❤️❤️
We're all about freedom, fun & play. Stay with us and it's 3 walks a day (minimum), snack time, siesta and a chance to make new friends. And you think you're on holiday!!!
If existing customers would like to comment and share how they feel about my services, that'd mean alot.
Thanks
Cleaning teeth once a week.... we've done this from quite an early age & it's a breeze! Good girl Dotts....
Having a blast in the snow.... its soooooo tiring. Back to dry off.
When pooches board with us, your holiday becomes theirs. They make new friends, it's so wonderful to see and so reassuring for you to know they're happy.
Sadly Miss Dottie is still experiencing head tremors but, from what I've seen & that's only 4 in all (Sep, Oct, Dec & tonight) they're getting milder.
Nonetheless, it worries me so much. I'd therefore love to hear from anyone who's gone through this with their dog. We don't have any answers from the vet despite so many tests.
Puppy play.... lots of teeth out and it can look quite scary as Dottie is demonstrating!! This is play, it's important that dog owners understand the difference between play and aggression.
