Onion and garlic contain a Sulfide compound (N-propyl-disulfide) that is toxic to dogs. This compound causes a breakdown of red blood cells, leading to to anemia
The toxin causes oxidative damage to your dog’s red blood cells by attaching to the oxygen molecules in those cells. This reduces the ability of the red blood cells to carry oxygen and also tricks your dog’s body into thinking that the blood cell is an invader.
The red blood cell is destroyed in a process known as haemolysis, resulting in what's termed haemolytic anaemia.
*Onions and garlic are toxic to your dog, whether eaten raw, boiled or fried!

We know you love your dog and would like to share the foods you love with them; but please don't feed your dog any of the above mentioned foods.
