Arlo was in for vaccines recently when our vet noticed a tick. 🕷️
Ticks are very common at this time of year. Arlo was sent home with a tick prevention as well as treatment for worms fleas and mites.
If you think your dog has a tick please call the clinic on 02587607 and we can arrange for the tick to be removed🐶🕷️😊

⚠️WARNING !!!⚠️RAPESEED! ❌
It’s that time of year again where farmers fields have blossomed into pretty yellow flowers, these plants are called rapeseed. Although it may be tempting to place your dog in the mist to take a scenic photo, please avoid this at all costs!

Rapeseed is extremely poisonous for dogs, especially in highly sensitive canines.

Rapeseed is listed by Dogs Trust as toxic to our dogs if ingested and can cause symptoms such as:

❌Haemolytic Anaemia
❌ Blindness
❌ Damaged Nervous System
❌ Digestive Disorders
❌ Breathing Problems

Even walking through these fields should be avoided!

Please seek immediate veterinary attention if your dog shows any signs of rapeseed poisoning

Please keep this message from the gardai in mind.

If you are driving and you come across animals on the road, please always slow down and be prepared to stop when approaching or overtaking them. If a person in charge of animals gives a signal to slow down or stop, you must obey it.

Avoid using your horn if animals are in front of you, as it might frighten them.
If you are travelling on a road where animals are common, you will see a warning sign like the one below.
