This handsome guy is 20 years old! My friend just moved to Ireland from America and brought her two kitties (one of which is this guy). He did so well with the move and still acts like a young cat most of the time (running, jumping, playing). I was lucky to take a small vacation the other week to visit them and one of the perks was all the cat snuggles 😻

Did you know to upkeep a professional veterinary medical licence, the licenced person must work on continuing education (CE) to be able to renew their licence? Sometimes that means getting up in the middle of the night to attend live CEs 😅 The CE I did last night was live in the States at 8pm their time....1am Irish time. I worked incredibly hard for my Veterinary Nursing licence which included college and a board exam and am happy to work on CE to upkeep it.

Hi all! I just wanted to share that I am now able to offer pet sitting services. I have decades of experience pet sitting animals big and small (dogs, cat, rabbits, horses, pocket pets, reptiles, chickens, etc). Whether you need someone to drop in or spend the night, I am happy to work with you to make sure your pet is the most comfortable. Also, being a licensed veterinary nurse, I am comfortable with special needs animals and administering medications.

So what does an appointment with me look like? Well, there is no one set answer for this as every appointment is unique and tailored to you and your pet. To start, I come to your home where we can work where ever is most comfortable for your pet...whether that is inside, outside, on the floor, on a couch, etc. I am happy to take the time to get to know your pet and make them as comfortable as can be. You stay with your pet the whole time. I will guide you thru how to hold your pet if that is needed and you can give them reassurance. My schedule is also flexible and open to day, evening, and weekend appointments.
I don't offer full service grooming at this time as I don't have all the proper equipment for it, but I do offer many "parts" of the grooming experience such as nail trims, sanitary clips, clips mats, clean ears, pluck ears, trim and/or brush hair as needed, express a**l glands, and so on. Having me come to your home for these services is convenient for you and low stress for your pet; this type of appointment is also great for animals who have medical conditions, anxiety, fear aggression, and geriatric pets...but I am not limited to working with special needs pets, I'll work with them all! I have also had great success working with "difficult" animals and while I never guarantee I can get the job done, it is a rare occasion that I can't. What I can guarantee is patience, compassion, and giving my all to your pet.
Appointments are open for dogs, cats, rabbits, and pocket pets. I am based in Glenmore Co. Kilkenny and travel where ever is needed. Homes more than 20km from the village of Glenmore may have a mileage charge added but that depends on the number of services being done. Feel free to ask me an questions.

A little about me: I have been a Licensed Veterinary Nurse since 2016 graduating from Baker College of Jackson in Michigan, USA. To become licensed I had to graduate from an accredited college, take a national and state board exam, and have a background check. I keep my credentials up to date by take continuing education which is required for the license renewal. Before I graduated college I had already been working in the veterinary field for a number of years. I have worked in neurology, orthopedic surgery, general practice, emergency, physical rehabilitation, holistic and traditional Chinese medicine, and with exotics. My "side business" ( Anna's Traveling Pet Care ) took off and when I got a little burnt out working in the veterinary field, I decided to make it a full time operation. I was lucky enough to have a friend who did grooming and taught me her trade so I could add grooming to my skill set as well. I was also taking courses at the University of Tennessee to get a specialty in canine physical rehabilitation for my license. In July 2022 I moved from Michigan to Ireland. I had a wonderful community in Michigan and am looking forward to building that here in Ireland as well. I hope to offer something unique and helpful to the area. I'll continue to post more about me, my business, and how I operate in hopes to give everyone a better understanding of what I do and who I am. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!
