Living Tastes is based in Westport, Co Mayo on the west coast of Ireland. Westport was recently designated by the Irish Times newspaper as “the best place to live in Ireland” because of the pride of the local people in their town, the grandeur of the nearby mountain and seascapes and the brilliant community spirit in the area. The founders of Living Tastes love living here for the seafaring, horse

-riding and the active outdoor life; indeed Westport is becoming increasingly renowned for field and mountain events, including triathlons and ironman as well as unique happenings such as Sea to Summit and Gaelforce. Living Tastes foods are inspired by the need for healthy, tasty energy-giving nutrition to support these active lifestyles. Living Tastes makes plant based food products that provide tasty, healthy, convenient and protein-rich alternatives to meat and dairy-based foodstuffs. These have various kinds of tree nuts as the basic ingredients and are prepared and presented without cooking or heating above 46 degrees Celsius so that the food retains as much of its original vitality as possible. In other words we want to preserve as much as possible the “living” characteristics of the original live ingredients within the end product. In this way when someone eats these products they are ingesting something vital thereby enhancing their own vitality.

How to make Egg Free Mayonnaise Recipe | Archana's Kitchen - All Things Vegetarian

A recipe for egg free mayonnaise

The Egg Free Mayonnaise Recipe is a fairly simple recipe to make at home and delicious too. Mayonnaise is a rich creamy sauce that is used as a condiment. It can be made plain or even combined with herbs to add more flavor to the Mayo. Mayonnaise is often white, cream or pale yellow in color. It all depends on the kind of mustard that is used and also if you are using eggs to make the Mayonnaise. In this recipe of eggless mayonnaise, I have used cream and mustard to make this mayonnaise. You can make the mustard sauce at home or even use the store bought one. If you like a more pungent flavor of the Mayo, then you can use Dijon Mustard, that is made by making a paste of mustard seeds.

Why Go Veg?

Are you considering becoming a vegetarian? here's an interesting article to read

People are drawn to vegetarianism by all sorts of motives. Some of us want to live longer, healthier lives or do our part to reduce pollution. Others have made the switch because we want to preserve Earth's natural resources or because we've always loved animals and are ethically opposed to eating them. Thanks to an abundance of scientific research that demonstrates the health and environmental benefits of a plant-based diet, even the federal government recommends that we consume most of our calories from grain products, vegetables and fruits. And no wonder: An estimated 70 percent of all diseases, including one-third of all cancers, are related to diet. A vegetarian diet reduces the risk for chronic degenerative diseases such as obesity, coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, diabetes and certain types of cancer including colon, breast, prostate, stomach, lung and esophageal cancer. Why go veg? Chew on these reasons: You'll ward off disease. [...]
