For animals, a thousand times over.

By my title, what I mean to say is, that I would do anything, absolutely anything at all when it comes to animals. There is nothing on this planet that matters more than what an animal does to me.

I have been madly passionate about animals and their welfare since I was a baby, and my goal was always to work with them for the rest of my life. I’ve always been into rescue work of my own, and volunteer with multiple NGOs in Mumbai as well. My own dog, Rio, is a rescue case and has alot of issues as well. I work with alot of shelter animals dealing with different issues, especially behavior issues due to their traumatic pasts. So I decided to do a Canine Trainer Course, not just so I can train dogs professionally, but also cause I wanted to train shelter dogs and puppies so their chances of getting adopted would become higher.

I’ve done my trainer course under my mentor and role model Ms. Shirin Merchant (Canines Can Care), India’s first female dog trainer. I do not believe in harsh methods of training. No hitting, starving, or muzzling the dogs. No choke chains, prong collars or shock collars either. All these methods are super abusive, cruel and a big load of bull. The dog might listen to you with these harsh methods sure, but he will be scared of you, dislike you, resent you and eventually turn aggressive towards you. We bring a dog home because we want him to be our friend, companion and family member . Do you hit and scare your friends and family to teach them something? If you hit your friends do you think they will like you? Or will they hate your guts and want to stay the hell away from you? Same principle works with animals. All they need is some love, affection, patience, to have fun, and for you to understand them and their feelings too!

I only use positive reinforcement based methods to train dogs, and they seem to really enjoy themselves and are always eager to learn more! Every dog and every breed is different, and I will work with yours to give them the specific guidance they need. Whether you already have a dog/puppy or are planning to open your home and hearts to one, either way I am more than happy to help.
