Rock is a magnificent 4 year old Doberman who recently got diagnosed with hip dysplasia, bilateral elbow dysplasia as well as bilateral cranial cruciate ligament tear.

Luna was diagnosed with Detrussor sphincter dyssynergia. This is a neurological condition that causes inability of urinary bladder to relax and evacuate urine. For a whole month Luna had to go regularly for urinary catheter placement in order to evacuate urine.
Last Friday we used Balance Method Acupuncture and Luna was able to p*e normal ever since 🤩

Hatchi is a therapy dog in Female Ward 1 at Mount Carmel psychiatric hospital. Originally he was Sicilian Stray.
A while ago Hatchi was diagnosed with cruciate ligament rupture causing him lot of pain. His carer Gloria decided to give Chinese Veterinary medicine a try before surgery.
Hatchi is now symptom free and continues to improve. Well done Hatchi, Gloria and all nurses who bring Hatchi regularly for his treatment

I did it! Proud to be one of the handful of vets in the whole world who practices Dr. Tan’s Balance Method.
2023 has been pretty challenging and keeping up with studies wasn’t exactly plain sailing. This was akin to learning a new language. I feel deeply grateful not just for my brain cells being in shape but also for Prof. Alfaro, a wonderful mentor and friend. A true trailblazer who not just translated this method from human medicine to veterinary medicine but is dedicated to its further validation with research and studies. Balance Method has reignited my passion for Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
It is a beautiful method that encompasses series of acupuncture systems rooted in the concept of healing the whole body by balancing meridians. It provides instant pain relief and gives many options for treating not just musculoskeletal but also wide variety of internal and skin disorders. Diego is 8 years old Pharaoh Hound that has been suffering from severe urinary incontinence for long time. After trying different conventional methods the owners decided to try Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
We used only two monthly treatments.
A month after the first session the owner reports over 80% improvement, and a month after the second session Diego is now leak proof and also seems to have regained his joie de vivre 🤩

Lucky suffered hind limb paresis due to inter-vertebral disk disease. He is now able to walk slowly.
Today we are using scalp acupuncture.
This is a new method for stimulation of motor neuron lines which seems to give great results. The mechanism of action is not well elucidated and certainly more research is needed.
The proposed mechanism involves trigeminal nerve - meninges - contacting neurons- brain.

First day of labs for Balanced Acupuncture certification didn’t fail to deliver !! Balance Method is very elaborate modality that teaches us 6 different systems using mirroring, reverse mirror, circadian clock and imaging to determine the appropriate points to balance the meridians.
Interestingly, we never treat where we find the problem since this meridian is out of balance and thus other meridians need to be treated to bring that one back in balance!!
Acupuncture 1, 2, 3 : Identify the problem, treat the points and get the immediate result. Awsome venue, colleagues and teachers. Grateful to be here ❤️
