GOTNI Emerging Leaders Conference 2018

The International Literacy Day for this year was held on 10th September, 2018. It was the day GOTNI took Education to Mpape community, a suburb in Abuja under our Mission2Schools Community Outreach. This project brought together over 200 school children to participate in the learning activities designed to increase their hunger for knowledge. Through unique learning approaches, the GOTNI team engaged the children according to their age ranges. The children took turns to do an excursion around the tables that had various appliances, from internet to computer accessories. There were many other gadgets on display with facilitators explaining their uses to the children. This segment of the programme helped expose the children to the importance of acquiring knowledge and show them how knowledge makes life easier. At the end of the event, we found out that there were many out of school children who needed to get back to school as soon as possible. And we are working to see how we can help. We will very much appreciate your support towards the success of this project.
