"I cannot say I'm the richest man in Africa. That will be unfair to the stingy ones. Let us use New York Times Statistics that says I'm the highest giver in Africa. You may not know what we have but what we give can be seen...From what I spend on philanthropic activities, Statistics shows I give more than any other African. So let's leave it at that. I don't want to be the richest man in Africa. I want to be the greatest giver in Africa. I want to be remembered for what I gave and not what I had. If you climbed a horse in my stomach today, you will not encounter any pothole...."

"Women's equal participation in leadership is crucial for any institution to function effectively in the present century. Women bring a unique perspective that fosters collaboration, competition, and better decision-making in organizations. Inclusive leadership teams led by women make effective decisions that yield better results. The essential qualities required to lead in the 21st century, such as collaboration, empathy, and communication, are inherently feminine and can help build a more sustainable future.

Statistics show that companies led by women have better financial results. Women leaders provide an integrated view of work and family, resulting in a more engaged and promising personal and professional future. Gender parity in leadership is vital for true progress, as diverse perspectives are essential in leadership roles.

MINIMUM WAGE CONTROVERSY

08/06/2024

*FOUR STAGES OF ELIMINATION IN LIFE*👇

1. At *60*, the workplace eliminates you. No matter how successful or powerful you were during your career, you'll return to being an ordinary person. So, don't cling to the mindset and sense of superiority from your past job, let go of your ego, or you might lose your sense of ease!

2. At *70*, society gradually eliminates you. The friends and colleagues you used to meet and socialize with become fewer, and hardly anyone recognizes you at your former workplace. Don't say, "I used to be..." or "I was once..." because the younger generation won't know you, and you mustn't feel uncomfortable about it!

3. At *80*, family slowly eliminates you. Even if you have many children and grandchildren, most of the time you'll be living with your spouse or by yourself. When your children visit occasionally, it's an expression of affection, so don't blame them for coming less often, as they're busy with their own lives!

4. At *90*, the Earth wants to eliminate you. Some of the people you knew have already departed forever. At this point, don't be sad or mournful, because this is the way of life, and everyone will eventually follow this path!

*REMEMBER,*
*1. the only thing that won't eliminate you eternally is God because at the end of our journey here on earth we shall all return to Him with accounts of how we lived our lives*
*2. So, meet Him more,*
*3. Communicate with Him more,*
*4. Obey His orders, and*
*5. Maintain your presence with Him*

*Therefore, while our bodies are still capable, live life to the fullest! Worship God in truth and in spirit. And there will be no regrets living out our lives for Him!

Rotation of Presidency between the North and South and governorship among the three senatorial districts of each state.

- 3. Decamping (Cross-Carpeting)

Any elected official, executive or legislative, who carpet-cross, regardless of the reasons for such, shall automatically forfeit his seat.

- 4. Mineral Exploration

Excess revenue should be used for exploration of mineral resources in every part of the country.

- 6. Rotation of the Presidency

- 9. The States For The Regions

Creation of another 18 new states (three per geo-political zone, this means SE will now have 4).

- 10. Fiscal Sharing Formula

The sharing of the funds to the Federation Account among the three tiers of government should be done in the following manner: Federal Government – 42.5%, State Governments – 35% and Local Governments 22.5% as opposed to the prevailing 52.68 %, 26.72% and 20.60% respectively.

- 11. Form of Government

Modified Presidential System, a home-made model of government that effectively combines the presidential and parliamentary systems of government. The president shall pick the vice president from the Legislature.

- 12. Appointment of Ministers

The President should select not more than 18 ministers from the six geo -political zones and not more than 30% of his ministers from outside the Legislature. Reduce Cost of governance by pruning the number of political appointees and using staff of ministries where necessary.

- 13. Legislature

The legislature should remain Bi-cameral but all elected members of the legislative arms of all the tiers of government should serve on part-time basis.

- 14. Local Government Autonomy

Local Government will no longer be the third tier of government. The federal and states are now to be the only tiers of government. States can now create as many local governments as they want.

The Joint State/Local Government Account be scrapped and in its place the establishment of a State RMAFC with representatives of LG and a Chairman nominated by the Governor.

The Constitution should fix the tenure for Local Government Councils at three years. Conference recommends the scrapping of State Independent Electoral Commission, SIECs.

- 15. Immunity

The immunity clause should be removed if the offences attract criminal charges to encourage accountability by those managing the economy.

- 16. Independent Candidacy

Every Nigerian who meets the specified condition in the Electoral Act should be free to contest elections as an independent candidate.

- 17. Anti-corruption

Anybody arraigned before the court by EFCC, ICPC and by any law enforcement agencies, the accused person will be regarded as guilty, unlike the present situation where he is innocent until proven guilty.

Plus, complete abolition of the concept of plea bargain by the Federal government

- 18. State Police

States who want it should have it.

- 19. National Anthem

The old National Anthem should be re-introduced

- 20. Religion Taxes and Pilgrimages

Religious institutions to pay tax, abolition of pilgrimage sponsorship

- 21. Mission Schools

Public schools taken over by various state governments across the country forty two years ago would henceforth be returned to the religious missions which were the original owners

*THE ARGUMENT FOR MINIMUM WAGE*

*From the Senate:*
1 Month salary of a Senator - 13.5m
For 109 Senators - 13.5x109 - 1.471b

This will pay 9,810 workers at 150k.

*This is outside their allowances.*

If we cut down the salary of the Senator to 5m, we have 8.5m.

Excess 8.5m (from 1 Senator) can pay 56 workers @ 150k each month.

So, from 109 senators, we can pay 56x109 = 6,104 workers monthly.

From House of Reps
1 month salary of Rep member - 9.3m
For 360 members, this comes to 3.348b

This will pay 22,320 workers at 150k

Assuming each Rep member's salary is cut to 3.5m, we get a saving of 5.8m.
5.8m can pay 38 workers at 150k each.
From the entire House of Reps, we get 38 x 360 = 13,680 workers.

*SUMMARY:*

Salary cut of senators can pay *6,170 workers*

Salary cut of Reps can pay *13,680 workers at 150k* each.

We have NOT talked of the travel costs of Ministers and other top government officials each month.

Labour Should Argue with current figures and facts. Salary figures quoted above are as at 1 Oct 202.

These are facts and figures Labour should put forward to the Nigerian public to see and understand, and see for themselves who is not being patriotic

"LEADER vs BOSS:

WHICH ONE SHOULD YOU STRIVE TO BE?

Dr. OKECHUKWU IWEGBU
+2348025603051

When it comes to management and leadership, two terms are often used interchangeably: leader and boss. However, they have distinct meanings and approaches to guiding teams and organizations. Understanding the differences between the two can help you determine which one you should strive to be.

A BOSS:

- Exercises authority and control
- Focuses on tasks and results
- Gives orders and expects compliance
- Prioritizes efficiency and productivity
- Often relies on title and position

A LEADER:

- Inspires and motivates
- Empowers and develops others
- Encourages collaboration and innovation
- Prioritizes people and growth
- Leads by example and influence

While a BOSS focuses on short-term goals and obedience, a leader invests in long-term success and people development.

A BOSS dictates, while A LEADER collaborates. A boss relies on authority, while a leader builds trust.

So, which one should you strive to be? The answer is clear:

A LEADER.

Leadership is about enabling others to succeed, creating a positive impact, and driving sustainable growth.
By adopting a leadership mindset, you'll foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and excellence.

Remember,
Anyone can be a BOSS, but a LEADER is someone who inspires and makes a lasting difference."

A Man who has always asked me for help called this morning, asking if I was at home.

I said NO (I lied). He asked if he could wait. Again I said No, that he should go, I will call him when am back home.
"I don't have money today abeg Even I too dey look for who go help me, " I murmured to myself. after dropping the call.

As I stepped out of the house much later, I was shocked to see him asleep on the bench beside my house waiting for me.

I felt sad, with a rush of guilt.
I walked towards him, making up my mind to give him 1k out of the 3k cash I had with me.

He was so happy to see me when I tapped him awake.

"Are you just coming, I didn't know when I slept off"?
He asked and I said yes. I had to lie again! Before I could bring out the 1k, with so much excitement he brought out a brown envelope containing the sum of *HUNDRED THOUSAND NAIRA (100k)* and said to me:
"It is for you. You've been so kind to me. I know it's small for you but just buy anything you want with it. He said confidently. GOD has done it.

I was so pleasantly dazed.
God has again transformed another life!. Glory be to HIM.

LESSONS 😗

1) Many of those we see/treat as 'beggers' are probably more generous and much kinder than us the self acclaimed Philanthropists (who else will doze off while waiting to dash out Money).

2) It is not everytime people call that they need your help, they can also call to Bless you when God changes their lives.

(3) Some people you help are often on their knees praying to GOD for more of His blessings in your life, so you'll never lack to give to the needy.

(4) Some people we've helped today, might end up helping our children or family members tomorrow.

(5). GOD is the ultimate owner of all things, you are only a Steward, be wise with HIS privileges upon your life. It's called Grace.

(6). Be kind to people on your way up, so if unfortunately you meet them on your way down, they too will remember and be kind to you.

(7) What do we even have, that we were not given?

Be nice to people nobody knows tomorrow 🙏

Do have a blessed and fulfilled day ahead!!!

*My name is Tomorrow "not my real name", I own a company, none of my staff knew me as the owner except the Manager and the Secretary. (I had told them not to disclose my identity).*
*I don't usually go for a visit.*
*One day, I visited the company and I saw my Ex wife, who had thrown me out of my own house. I asked the Manager and he said she is one of their staff.*
*I instructed the Manager to promote her to Personnel Officer, gave her a car, a bungalow, garden boy, security and other emoluments. An undeserved position though, of which he did.*
*A month later, I went there as a job seeker. As soon as she saw me with my application and CV, she rejected me outright, threw my application at my face, and immediately retrieved it from the floor and tore it to pieces and threw it into the waste bin. After regaling me with all my past, she informed me I would never get employment nor an opportunity at the company. Also, she swore on heaven and the earth that all this would happen. She boldly declared that the only way I’d get employment at the company was over her cold dead body*.
*I came the following day with another application and went on my knees to beg her, but she refused and spat into the waste bin and said even if I was the only bridge to cross to come to work, she would opt for a boat and called the security men to throw me out, so I left.*
*One day, I went to the company in my real identity and entered her office with the Manager who introduced me to her, she quickly knelt down crying and begging me, "the proposed rejected bridge.” She informed me that her entire family depended on her for survival. If her employment was terminated, she added, life would be absolutely horrendous not only for her but also her entire family. She even promised to remarry me.*
*We both stood there motionless and speechless which left the Manager befuddled.*
*Many things started racing in my head. Should I call for the police? Should I strip her of her current position to her former position? Should I cancel the unqualified benefits given to her? Should I accept such a woman back?*
*I'm still standing at her office indecisive.*
*If you were in my shoes, what would you do?*
*THERE IS TOMORROW*
*Whenever you are dealing with people, you must always remember that there is tomorrow and you might néed them tomorrow. You may end up needing help from the people who are asking for your help today, so help as much as you can.*
*Life is like a moving wheel, sometimes you are up and sometimes you are down. Sometimes we destroy the bridges that we might need to help us cross back tomorrow. Sometimes we treat people as though there is never going to be tomorrow. We sometimes act as though we will never need help from anyone. Remember there's tomorrow.*
*Joseph helped the cupbearer in prison and later the cupbearer connected Joseph with Pharaoh. Imagine how Portiphar's wife felt when she heard that Joseph was now the Governor of Egypt, after she had falsely accused him. The brother who sold Joseph away ended up being fed by him. Don't ever think of going to the extreme with your offenders, they might be rescuers tomorrow. Always remember that there is tomorrow and it will surely come.*
*The little help you give to people today, will profit you tomorrow.*
*May the good Lord touch your heart to live your life knowing that there is tomorrow.*
*In Everything You Do, Always Remember That,There Is Tomorrow.*

*Have a blessed day.......Pls share to others for them to know that THERE IS TOMORROW

Muhammad Ali always promised to watch Mike Tyson train but never kept his word. That day, he decided to keep his word and go watch Tyson train.
As soon as Tyson saw him enter, he dropped everything, jumped out of the ring like a hurricane and went to kneel down to greet Ali.
There is a hidden power behind recognition and gratitude.

You will never be great if you do not know how to recognize those who became great before you and who planted the tree under which you hide from the sun.
