So today I had one of those days, the unmistakable smear one tends to make when we fall off and refuse to let go of the reins.
Honestly Bella is feeling amazing, and just to be clear this wasn't a naughty thing.
Bella just gets stuck physically then mentally at times, normally when we are learning something new and can end with us bombing across the arena or in this instance a good old drop the shoulder and spin, sound familiar?
When training /learning new movements in this instance half pass, she has to open up, use joints and develop muscles differently.
Which I'm assume can feel weird and uncomfortable at times, the same as it can for us.
I'm also learning which doesn't help.
Today we managed a few strides at trotπ she felt good , walk, big pat.
We went to do a simple canter serpentine, she felt tense.
2mins later I'm on the ground π€¦
Pat for reassurance and back on, this time straight to the poles on a half circle, she likes pole work, my aim was to allow her to change her focus, and think about her feet instead, I just focused on trying not to block her.
Basically not her fault so I ignore it, tried something easier and fun that will also helps
to open the joints up.
Finding an instructor who can see biomechanically where it's going wrong is also a game changer
Live to try again another dayπ€
