I know many of you were hoping to come visit the animals these holidays, but the weather unfortunately had other plans. With heavy rain like this it takes a few days for the carpark to dry out. So it doesn't look like it'll be happening this spring, but we are happy to take group bookings again from now on. :)

Whio and Lottie have been caring for some rather exotic animals. And have come up with some creative solutions to solve problems. I asked if it was OK to share on Facebook, and they were happy to make a video to explain their creations.

- DONKEY PADDOCK UPDATE -

Just a note to let you all know that we haven't forgotten about Summer and Nero's - bigger, better - new enclosure buid.

The project had to be moved down the to-do list a bit, as we had to prioritize keeping the chickens safe (they started getting into the neighbors property and one of them somehow ended up at a house way up the road, so they quite urgently had to be contained).

Now we're dealing with getting the bridge signed off by council, as it happened to be 30cm too high off the river bed. This means we have to draw plans, get engineers report, certificate of acceptance etc.... and there's a deadline we have to meet. Quite frankly a lot time of $$.

But as soon as that's done we have our priority set on the new enclosure, which is planned to incorporate our two cow-girls as well. In the meantime, Nero and Summer are getting lots of TLC and all the enrichment we can provide.

I'll keep you posted!!
