So whilst I don’t run the cattery these days, I am so very humbled by customers that ask if I can house sit their fur and furless babies because they couldn’t have their whanau in better hands, I have realy enjoyed looking after some amazing companion animals and today is the highlight of my year getting to see Merlin, Helene & Grimley Blue the naked Sphynx and their adorable k9 siblings Lola and hazel, I’m in seventh heaven with these babies, more pics to come just 2 nights this week then a full week shortly

Not often I post on this site but anyone who knows me knows how much I love animals and the bond I have with my cat is very special, nurtured him from a kitten, and nursed him through a near death experience . I haven’t spoken about my marriage break up because I have been concentrating on moving on and recovering from the devastating effects of the flood but always hoped somewhere deep in her heart my ex would be compassionatel and return George to me, well I found out this week that when I was in hospital post floods that Jo gave my cat to her latest victim, their relationship is now over and he refuses to return my fur baby to me, heartbreaking is an understatement but I will fight to get him returned to me and nessie, Mark Cowley shame on you, George is my property and registered in my name and I will persue his return through any legal channel.

Fantastic to hear our beautiful Iggy has been found. She’s at the vets, needs a bit of medical attention but overall she’s in good shape for what she’s been through.
Finding her is so good for the soul 🧡🧡

So have to pay tribute to the beautiful pets I was looking after before the storm hit us, it had been an amazing 3 weeks bonding with the cats, the dogs already knew me well. The night of the storm saw the cats scramble to get out of the property and me then recovering them and trying to keep them safe, all the fur babies stayed with us right until the house finally broke up and on a lot of the journey down the flood waters, unfortunately Jagger the Rhodesian Ridgeback didn’t make it, we know Igi did but no sign of the 4 cats or Fender the Rottweiler yet, hopefully they will have survived but I am privileged to have had them in my care for those 3 weeks and spent many a happy hour with them, they were truly loved.
