Thanks so much for your kind comments and likes about our filly. I have spent most of the day putting together her parade video, so thought I would show you. She's busy growing her winter coat which is inconvenient when I want her looking her best.

Some of you may remember our little TB filly born in November 2022, well here she is all grown up. She was photographed last weekend in preparation for going on the market. The main feed we use for our youngstock is Winterboost alongside our haylage. This is our first and possibly only toe dip in the TB industry, I have found it fascinating and everyone to be very friendly and welcoming. Now to see if she actually sells!!

We have delivery trips to Canterbury this Tuesday 9th April and then to Dunedin on Thurs 11 April.

We had the NZWBA tour visit Whiterocks first thing on Monday morning to inspect our lovely c**t, Whiterocks Fantastic
The inspector thought he was pretty fantastic too and awarded him 80.25% and an excellence award. We decided not to present our Galaxy filly she has continued to battle at times and is a bit of an ugly duckling at the moment. I am looking forward to her turning into a beautiful swan and will present her for inspection as a 3 year old. I am so grateful to NZWBA tour for coming to Oamaru to look at our horses the feedback and support from them is invaluable.

Happy New Year. We are back on deck after a much needed break over Christmas and flat out baling this week with finally getting a decent stretch of hay making weather. Our first delivery trip for 2024 is this Friday morning 12 Jan to Dunedin.

Whiterocks Fabian has been appropriately renamed Whiterocks Fantastic. He is an absolute cracker and has been sold to a super home and has a very excited new owner looking forward to collecting him at weaning.

Introducing Whiterocks Galateia.
Our second foal of the season was born last Friday. She is by Galaxy (Grand Galaxy Win/Sir Sinclair/Donnerhall) out of So Supre xx (Coates Choice). She's super leggy, elegant and so sweet I think I might keep her. However she certainly caused some stress. Slow to her feet, she then really struggled to latch and suckle, which wasn't helped by a very protective mare. We then had a severe and ongoing meconium impaction to deal with. Multiple interventions were required over the first three days and it felt a bit touch and go and of course this all coincided with the whole (human) family going down with a nasty gastro bug. It's been one of those weeks! So rewarding to see her bucking and leaping around the paddock today.

Foal Spam - Fabian is 9 days old and has unfolded beautifully. He uphill, elegant, beautifully balanced and oh so cute, even better he's a friendly foal who has already discovered the joy of wither scratches.

Currently on foal watch for our second and final foal of the season. There was supposed to be 3, but sadly our Fugato mare slipped in the autumn.

Introducing Whiterocks Fabian. This guy arrived last night at 11 pm. He's 9 days ahead of his due date so a bit of growing to do. But he's a wee goer up on his feet in 40 min and suckling not long after, just like a proper professional.

He's super fancy being out of our lovely NZWB studbook mare Sabrina (Salient/Royal Diamond) and by Fantastic (First Romancier/Sandro Hit) making him a full sibling to last season's stunning filly Fenella.

Hooray. So nice to see rain in North Otago over the weekend. Such a welcome sight and sound. We are gearing up to start making some first cut of conventional meadow haylage in the next week, so that will be ready to eat in a months time.

Spring is here, coats are shedding, fur is everywhere, the grass is growing? Well its not growing so well in North Otago a month of dry and cold frosts means little growth for us. But it will come we hope.

Hi Team. Everyone must be well and truly into winter mode now though it has been pretty mild here so far. We have added some cool new products to the website this week.

To complete the lifestyle block range alongside the Performance Lay Pellet we are selling a Multifeed Nut - which is a grain based nut for the ruminant in your life. Suitable as a supplement for sheep, goats, cattle, deer and alpacas and Duck Grain which is a mix of barley, oats, peas and ryecorn and is suitable as a scatter feed for ducks and other poultry.

Finally we have added Annandale Meadow Chaff which is a palatable chaff made from a mix of Timothy, Cocksfoot, Prairie grass and a small amount of clover.
