Update: Here is some more information about Belka.

Belka is very calm and friendly to everyone. She spends most of her time at home, but when it is warm outside she likes to sit in the sun. She eats well, I only buy Jimbo,'s, only likes veal and dry food (mainly with the taste of chicken Purina One), she does not like beef.
She loves to be combed. I do not know what to say about dogs, no one has ever come to us with a dog, but my daughter brought a kitten, she was not very happy and chased him. I would like to find someone who will spend more time with her because she always likes to be around no matter what you do.

Belka is looking for a new home. She is a 10 year old, speyed, vaccinated female.
She is very sweet and loves cuddles. Unfortunately her owners are moving overseas and are unable to take her with them.

If you are interested in giving this lovely girl a forever home please call us at the clinic 04 383 6012.

Look what we did at the clinic today.

Rocky was given acupuncture for his painful hips. He was calm and sleepy after his session.

It was interesting to see how acupuncture is done and we look forward to see Rocky's progress over the next couple weeks.

Trigger Warning: Open wound

We have been using Phovia® in clinic
These photo's are from a cat we treated with a tail wound.

How does Phovia® work?
The blue light from the lamp activates the gel, which floods the skin with multicoloured light, speeding natural regeneration. It penetrates through the skin and acts on all the different layers of the skin at once, accelerating the body's natural process of skin repair.

Have more questions? Pop in and ask our friendly team how Phovia® can help you and your pet!

We have a new device in clinic called Phovia®

Phovia® is a revolutionary new therapy for skin problems in cats and dogs.
Using a specially designed lamp and gel, the team here at Island Bay Vet Clinic can use Phovia® to halve the treatment time of your pet.
The treatment consists of one session for two minutes, twice a week (or four minutes once a week!) to dramatically accelerate
natural skin regeneration.
