A CASE OF FETAL MUMMIFICATION IN A CAT

Fetal mummification is the condition when the fetus undergoes some morphological changes and dies and retained in the uterus. 🙀

Pepper, a five years old queen, was presented to Paw Prints Veterinary Clinic - Angeles City Branch with a history of abdominal swelling for two months without any vaginal discharge. As per owner, she was suspected to be pregnant.

X-ray was recommended and fetal mummification was confirmed. 😿

Ovariohysterectomy was performed. Wound healing was observed on PO 7days, and the queen is maintaining her normal life. 😻
