Reclaim Process:You will need to bring some kind of proof of ownership (pictures, vetting, rabies, ect...) Reclaim is free for first 72 hours after that it’s $10.00 a day for boarding and care fee. Adoption Process: Hertford County Animal Shelter 231 Mt Moriah Rd Ahoskie NC 27910Hours: Mon-Fri 9-5If you are interested in adopting or rescuing please contact us by messaging our page or by email. cue process: No pull fee for approved rescues. Please send us your 501c3 approval letter, contact info, and donation info for any pledges these animals might have. Adoption process: You may come to the shelter to meet our adoptable animals at 231 Mt Moriah Rd Ahoskie NC 27910 you may also bring in your existing pets for a meet and greet.. To Adopt: You must go to the Sheriff's Department located at 701 Taylor St, Winton, NC 27986 Adoption fee is $30.00 includes rabies vaccine. They ask that adopters come between 10am-3pm to pay the adoption fee. Sign shelter adoption contract. Then go to the shelter located at 231 Mt Moriah Rd Ahoskie NC 27910 to pick up the animal. All animals adopted must be scheduled for a spay or neuter within 30 days of adoption if they are not already. E-mail: [email protected]

Join us at Tractor Supply on Saturday from 9-3 for Adoption Day and a Rabies Clinic. North Carolina State Law requires that all dogs, cats, and ferrets over 4 months receive current rabies vaccinations. Hertford County animal control is offering these shots for just $10 per animal, so don't miss out!
