🚨 Important information regarding daycare for this weekend! 🚨

We’ve had a lot of last minute Labor Day weekend reservations made this week! We can’t thank our clients enough for the business and support, but this unfortunately means our daycare services are forced to be offered on a first come, first serve on Friday 8/30 and Saturday 8/31.

Please text us at 541-802-5418 to check availability before coming in! We will not be able to make daycare reservations or hold any kennel space at this time.

Happy 5th birthday, Millie! 🥳

We have had the pleasure of knowing Millie since last year and she has become one of our frequent daycare goers 🐾 She has played in both our Active Dog and Calm Dog playgroup, so she’s well versed in making friends of all kinds! Our favorite thing about Millie is the way she moves when she plays- she super goofy and very animated during playtime! Where do we even begin with this adorable and incredibly sweet girl?! 🌟 We feel so fortunate to have been able to call Nugget a regular daycare goer and frequent boarder for almost a year now! The excitement between her and our team when she walks through our front door is very mutual. Her bright eyes, smiley mouth, and wagging tail nub never fails to bring a big smile to our faces ❤️ Nugget is a 10/10 corgi and certainly has won all of our hearts over. Thank you to her parents for trusting us with her care and for allowing us to love on her! Here’s to another year with one of the best pups 🎉 Happy birthday, Nugget!

We had quite a week full of LOTS of smiling dog faces (capacity peaked over 100 over the last few days!), tons of 1:1 playtimes as we rolled out our new Solo Dog packages this last week, 7/7 days spent in the sunshine under the canopy with friends, and a bustling reception area, where, at one point, we had so many belongings to tag and photograph that one owner said it looked like we were having a slumber party! 🛍️🧸🐶🎉

A huuuuge shoutout to our team who kept things running as smoothly as possible both in the front and the back as we were given the unexpected surprise of a holiday-esque week with no holiday in sight (just lots of fun summer activities planned!). And thank you to our pet parents who continue to trust us with their pet’s care 💖

Happy Gotcha Day, Bucky! 🥳

We have had the pleasure of knowing Bucky since 2021! He’s a frequent flyer for both boarding, daycare, and grooming with us. One of our favorite things about Bucky is that while he can be extremely goofy and playful, he’s also extremely cuddly and a very good boy for us! Today is a big day to celebrate and we’re extremely fortunate Bucky’s mom trusts us with his care 🥰 We love you, Bucky!

Due to the amount of last minute Fourth of July reservations made this past week, we have decided it would be best to put a paw-se on daycare this coming Saturday, July 6th.

⏰ Please remember, we will be open from 8am-12pm on Thursday, July 4th for boarding pick ups and drops offs only.

Thank you to all of our amazing pet parents for trusting us with their furry family members while they’re away, and for allowing our rockstar team to maintain our high standards of care for our boarding dogs by taking a couple days off from daycare services this week. Rest assured, boarding dogs will still have playtime and potty breaks during their stay 🐾

Happy 2nd birthday, Coco Chanel! 🥳

We have had the pleasure of getting to know Coco over the last few months and have fallen completely in love with her (we think you will too off of her adorable birthday photos alone!). Coco is best known for her signature top knot. She comes in with it perfectly placed on top of her head and almost always leaves with it on the side of her head (the true “tail” sign she had a BLAST at daycare that day). Today, it served as the perfect birthday hat holder, and we’re obsessed ✨ When she isn’t running around with her friends in our Active Dog playgroup, Coco absolutely loves to be the center of our Handlers’ attention (cue her perfect dog modeling skills and pure enjoyment of dressing up for her photos today).

Earlier this morning, we emailed* our pet parents to notify them of some recent Canine Cough findings and important information to help us get through this time. Unfortunately, we have had a couple daycare parents kindly inform us of their dogs have come down with the common “doggy cold,” as well as received confirmation from a local vet that they have been seeing an increase in cases recently. When the inevitable happens, one of the first steps we take is to inform our clients so they are aware of what’s happening and can decide if they wish to continue services with us during this time.

Please visit the link in our bio for detailed information regarding our protocols and policies we put in place as soon as we start seeing Canine Cough cases in the area. While most cases resolve on their own, we take this illness very seriously and put many precautions in place to help avoid the spread as best as we can.

Today, we’re celebrating Sarah’s 🔟 year work-iversary with the Albany Pet Hotel! 🥳

Sarah has been with us since May 2014 where she started as an Assistant Manager. She has since worked her way up to our Facility Manager role and oversees the entire facility, staff, and pets. She is a pivotal figure in helping grow the business and always puts our high standards of quality care and communication with our clients at the top of her priority list. Sarah always knows how to have fun while maintaining a “tough gets going” attitude when the going gets ruff.

Sarah has been with APH the longest, has the best stories to share, has endured many remodels (just look at our old play yards in some of these photos 👀), and always remembers our former clients (and their beloved former dogs) when they call to let us know they have a new pet they’d like to bring in.

If you have had the pleasure of meeting Sarah, it may have been during an interview, while dropping off or picking up your pet when she’s playing Receptionist, or possibly for an update on your dog’s stay with us.

Please take a moment to wish Sarah a happy anniversary and feel free to share any memories - whether you’ve previously worked along side Sarah or you have had the pleasure of meeting her - you may have in the comments below!
