Max and Molly’s story began as puppies during Hurricane Harvey. They landed in our shelter at just 12 weeks old or so. They were adopted together shortly after. Sadly, they were returned a couple months ago (at almost 7 years old and knowing only one home for most of their lives). Both were extremely anxious in the shelter environment and understandably so. It became unfair for them - especially Molly. Her quality of life became poor as the anxiety and stress were taking its toll. We made the heartbreaking decision yesterday to end Molly’s suffering by humanely euthanizing her. It’s not a decision we take likely and it breaks our heart each time we have to make such a decision. Then this amazing woman came in. She’d visited our shelter several times over the past couple weeks and had two dogs she was interested in get adopted before she was ready to commit. So she. Came back in yesterday to take another look at the dogs we had available. Our kennels techs brought Max and Molly out to meet the woman who would end up saving them. She fell in love with them and made the decision to give them a home they deserved…and quite literally saved Molly’s life.
We are so thankful Miss Tiffany came in when she did and even more grateful she opened her heart and home to two dogs who desperately needed her. Thank you so much for adopting 🐾🖤🐾🖤🐾

Espresso is a sweet boy who is struggling with the shelter environment. He’s been here for several months with no visitors.
He is a young adult who is dog friendly, but prefers to mind his own business.

How does an entire year pass and no one has adopted this handsome, sweet, amazing boy? Mr. Peabody is such a great dog and a shelter favorite! He came to us in April 2023 (over a year ago) and is still upbeat and loving! He’s dog-friendly and people friendly - and look at those beautiful eyes and smile 🖤🐾🖤🐾🖤🐾

This little puppers had a rough start but is on the mend and will be ready for a family soon! Viper is as sweet as they come. She’s around three months old and will likely be medium/large when full grown. Her adoption fee of $65 will cover her vaccinations, microchip, and spay surgery. We are accepting adoption applications now!

Vince LaBarki is a handsome large lab/husky mix!
He is roughly about a year old and has some energy to burn! Did great and had manners when meeting a female dog, and they enjoyed playing chase!

Are you able to help? We are in need of dry dog food(and Cat/kitten food)! We are still at capacity with dogs (and kitties it’s kitten season) and they eat a lot so we are going through food quickly. Please consider donating a bag of dry dog food (mid brand or better, our dogs really like the Purina One🐶) without red dye (upsets our dogs tummies) or, adopting a new fur family member 😁

Our hungry little hippos are just that…hungry! They are doing well on a wet food/formula mixture so we could use supplies if you are able to donate. We are all set for the weekend and will never let our babies go without. If you would like to donate, we can use wet puppy food, wet kitten food (we have tons of kittens right meow), puppy formula, dry puppy food, and dry kitten food.
