Let’s help Southern Pooch out and help our shelter for Christmas!

Alright everyone I need your help! Since the last toy drive was an amazing turn out I’ve decided to host a supply drive every year! Same rules apply as last time. For every item donated I’ll match it! So if we get 500items donated I’m donating 500 items! Donations can be brought to the shop any day if we’re not here they can be left by the door! I’ll be collecting them through December 18th and delivering them on the 19th! Let’s make this a huge drive! Can we fill my expedition with all the seats down this time? Y’all filled the back last time! Let’s do it again maybe I’ll even have to make multiple trips! If we have enough donated we can even split it up to a few shelters so no pup goes with out this Christmas 😍 Also, Blankets, toys, stuffed animals, all that stuff doesn’t have to be new it can be gently used! Do you have a open bag of food your pup or kitty won’t eat? Drop it by they use it for their brain stimulation puzzles and toys! Y’all get those donations coming in! We can do this!

We are excited to announce Shadow is officially on foster to adopt! We are so excited for her and her new brother and mom!

Shadow’s big transformation post has been postponed until tomorrow. This sweet old girl came to paws as a stray covered in fleas with briars and sticks stuck all in her fur. Our friends at PAWS did an amazing job killing the fleas and cutting away as many of the sticks and briars as they could. Shadow was a champ today and set
through four shampoos, a condition and being dried. Needless to say after all that this 12 yr old girl was tired! We let her rest the remainder of the day and will clip away her mats and finish getting her completely cleaned as well as a good deshed bath tomorrow! She has been amazing today! No accidents inside and ask to go out when she needs too. She has made friends with dogs of all sizes and doesn’t meet a stranger! Let’s get this girl into a home to live out the rest of her golden years!

Meet Shadow! She is the best senior dog! She is fluffy, adorable, loves to snuggle up on her big comfy dog bed and is smitten for pets. She gets along great with other dogs here at the shelter and loves our volunteers and team members. Come see this golden girl at Anderson County PAWS any Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday from 12-5 p.m.

***NEW UPDATE: Dill is in a foster home. That means all 13 of our friends are out of the shelter!****
Pupdate:
We have had the pleasure of hosting 13 dogs from Anderson County PAWS on spacations since July 26th. Of those 13 dogs, 12 have either been pulled by a rescue, adopted or fostered. Our sweet Dill pickle is the only one still at PAWS. If you think you may have room in your heart and home for another dog please stop by and visit him! We have truly enjoyed getting to know all these dogs and being a pit stop in their journey to their forever homes! We encourage you all to consider taking one of PAWS many dogs on a even a daycation. We promise it will do your heart good!

Nugget had a bath and is looking so handsome! He played with multiple dogs today including a 10 yr old shih-tuz and did great! He has been so good and just wants to be loved! We had several people interested in him today and we just wanted to make sure everyone knows he is still available!

This week we picked up Taffy from Anderson County PAWS to stay for a spacation! She is only 2 years old and the sweetest girl! Her head tilt is due to an inner ear infection that went untreated before coming to PAWS. Don’t worry though it doesn’t stop her from playing and cuddling! Stop by and give her some love and share, share, share! Let’s get her in a home and out of the shelter!

Jax has been having a blast with us! He’s been enjoying pupcups, spa days, trips to tractor supply and petsmart and getting lots of love! He told us today he’d trade all his new toys and treats to have a home of his own. If you are looking for a “puppy” that wants to play, walks great on a leash, knows his basic commands, loves kids, doesn’t meet a stranger, well on his way to being completely house broken, but also doesn’t mind just hanging out and cuddling or just entertaining himself with his toys, JAX is the dog for you! Let’s get this sweet boy out if the shelter and into a home! He’s already spent half his short life there he deserves a family of his own! P.S Jax said thanks for all the goodies you got him at PetSmart today Caroline Scranton Bell!

Calling all boxer lovers, you need Jax in your pack! He is the best puppy! He walks amazing on a leash and knows his basic commands. He’s gone all day with no potty accidents and ask to go. This sweet boy is only 8 months old and has been at PAWS since he was 4 months. While everyone there is great and he loves them all he really just wants a home of his own! Even if you can’t adopt please consider fostering this sweet boy!
