Scammers call or text people who have posted lost dog ads and claim to be animal control officers, asking for payment or urging them to click a link or send a code. Remember, Pearland Animal Services would NEVER operate this way. If you receive such a message, report it immediately to the Pearland Police Department non-emergency number 281-997-4100.
