He also placed top 5 in Halter at Region 3 last year in Reno, NV. If you are wanting a great horse to ride then you will fall in love with Royalton who is very affectionate and smart. Varian Arabians extends its deepest condolences to the family of Larry Jerome. Like so many others, Larry was a true and dear friend to Sheila, and all of us here at the farm. All one had to do was say the word, and Larry would be there by your side helping in any way he could. His kind heart and generous spirit were infinite... they seemed to only grow with reach.
Larry was a visionary of kindness. He would regularly organize gestures of encouragement for those around him. Sometimes they were big and public. Often they were only known to a few people.
During the 2016 Scottsdale Show, Sheila was watching classes. from her BBB (big brown chair). It was the first Scottsdale she'd ever missed, and as it turned out, would be her last as well. Larry quickly and efficiently organized a beautiful tribute to Sheila that was presented in Wendell Arena on one of the final days of the show. (The Tribute is shown below). Toward the end, Larry asked the audience to stand up and hold their arms over their heads in the shape of a V so that Sheila could witness and receive our community's love for her. It was a powerful moment that would be replicated again at Sheila's Celebration of Life by Larry himself.
That's just the type of person Larry was. He did his best to make those around him feel SEEN and LOVED at all times.
Our community has lost another great one. Rest easy, Larry. May we each take a piece of your kind and generous spirit in our heart and love others they way you so beautifully did.
