Susannah's Pets and Plants, founded in 2015, is individually owned and operated by Susannah Held of Asheboro, NC. I am a lifelong cat lover, and am currently mom to Benny and Joon, and to three white rescue kitties, Eva, Petra, and Rosie. My goal is to provide your pets with the best care, and to provide you with peace of mind while you're away from home. Free initial visit: During this visit I ca

n meet your pets, tour your home, find out about any special requirements your pets may have, answer questions, transfer keys, and complete necessary paperwork. My current rate is $15.00 per visit. This visit includes: cleaning food dishes and water bowls, providing fresh food and water, scooping litter boxes, and lots of playtime. If requested, I will also water indoor plants, pick up mail and newspapers, and adjust lights and blinds as needed to give your home that 'lived in' look. This rate covers up to three pets. Each additional pet is $1.00. There will also be a surcharge if long travel time is involved in getting to your house, or if you pet must be transported to the vet or other location. For people without pets, but who would like their house and garden to be looked after while they're away; I also provide this service.

*Watches the food network once*

“I made a salad of mixed greens paired with sedges and lichen on a bed of conifer twigs.” 🥗

PIKA CHEW! Could use some croutons. The pika doesn't look like it, but it’s related to rabbits. It's part of the order Lagomorpha, which is the same as rabbits and hares. If this takes you by surprise, you aren't the only one. The shorter ears, tiny size, and dense coat make it look more like a fuz ball than a bunny. The pika also has one of the longest tails of all lagomorphs, but it's hidden in the thick fur so it looks like it doesn't have a tail at all. Active year-round--they do not hibernate. They spend the summer months working hard to gather plants to eat throughout the long winter.

I am bear........
I am not just "a" bear
I am the forest.
I am the fragile ecosystem.
I am the running streams,
the canopy of pines,
the whistling winds,
the fertile soil,
and the radiant sun.
I am everything that is
natural,
beautiful,
and mysterious, in this universe.
I am not one of many.
I am all that is one.
I am bear.
