Today we are remembering a special customer, Ava, who recently passed away.

Ava was a real fan of all our City Dog treats but her favorites were our City Chicken Chips and Cluckers Stix; her dad said she got one every morning. Ava’s dad also shared that his girl loved our Biscuit Bar and her Zignature food.

Ava’s dad shared with us that it was love at first sight when he adopted her from a local rescue. After a rough start in life, Ava lived her best life with her dad and her dog sister, Ella. Her dad shared “She was a very sweet dog that I will miss for the rest of my life.”

Our hope is that all homeless pups be as fortunate as Ava in finding a loving family. Ava, we will see you at the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈

One of our most unusual chews is a terrific option with our small dog customers, like 5 yr old Waylon.

Lamb feet are made of bone, cartilage and carotene and are about 6-8” long. This chew kept Waylon, who is a heavy chewer, consistently busy. He still had 95 % of the chew left after an hour of chewing.

With this heat even sidewalks or grass can cause burns on the pads of your pups’ feet.

Place your hand on any surface for 5-10 seconds before asking your dog to walk on it. If it is too hot for your hand, it is too hot for your their feet. 🔥

A familiar story….Cooper and Pepper are senior dogs who had been living with their senior parents. When the parents passed away, no one in the family wanted them. So like a lot of pets, they ended up in the rescue system.

Now for the happy ending…they have been adopted by a wonderful mom who loves them dearly. They are also a part of our City Dog customer family and love visiting with Madi & Meghan.

Moral of the story…please provide for your pets in your estate planning. Don’t assume a family member or friend will want them. Give them the secure future they deserve. 🧡

"Our sweet girl passed away from cancer this last year but she was a loyal City Dog customer! Thrown out on Georgia 400, she was rescued by a Mayflower moving van and an Alpharetta police officer. When we received her to foster she had 3 surgeries and mange so bad she had no fur! Foster fail of the best kind, my daughter and son in law adopted her!"

In addition to being a team member, Bibi is the Owner & Lead Trainer of Intuition Canine.

One of Bibi’s go to training treats is Wild Adventure which has 200 treats in a bag. We sample Wild Meadow treats in our stores and they are always a winner with pups!

Toby’s parents stopped by on his birthday for cookies, chews, & treats. But they were not for him.

Toby passed away a few months ago. His parents honored his memory by shopping on his birthday for items they could donate to LifeLine Animal Project. When they shared this story with us, we grabbed the tissue box…what a perfect way to celebrate Toby’s life.

We were already collecting donations for Lifeline, so they took our box of donations and headed to the shelter. His parents are not ready yet for another rescue, but they look forward to adopting again when their hearts are ready.

We will miss you Toby; see you at the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈
