Emmitt needs a home!

Update: will be heading to rescue Friday!

For 12 years I have helped load shelter dogs back into the trucks after adoption events.
Is it sad? Yes it really is.
Yet nothing could have prepared me for seeing the total devastation in this dogs eyes. His pitiful cries, simply haunting.
I had to go back and open the compartment truck, just so I could comfort him. Seeing him drool in fear, left me feeling physically sick!
Our rescue is full of dogs like Emmett! There comes a point where we have to close our doors and focus on getting the ones we have adopted.

This is where social media comes in. We need your help, your shares, to find a family for Emmett.

Emmet is a chow/lab. A handsome boy, with a beautiful coat. Estimated around 3 years. 45lb.
Emmett loves people and did amazing at the event today. He was quite the social butterfly. Did great with dogs of all sizes.
He was around cats, did not show any aggression, but he was a little too interested in them. Would recommend further cat testing if you have a cat in the home.
Emmet will require grooming and his coat will need some brushing.
Neutered, heartworm negative, current on vaccines, microchiped.

Emmet resides at a local, county run facility. This is all the information listed on him.

The shelter is closed for adoptions until Tuesday at noon.
