One of the most important things you need to know is how you safely secure your horse in a trailer.
1. Horses should be tied with enough length to hold their heads naturally, but not move around too much.

2. If you want to offer hay, be sure to tie the net or bag as high as possible—at a minimum, wither height.

3. For safety, always tie a horse at wither-height or higher.

4. Whenever you’re hauling, keep a pocketknife handy. It can be used to free the horse if he gets caught.

We don’t believe in coincidence. Friday we received a call about a young puppy needing a bottle feeder. Details were sketchy as there were other pups involved, but we were happy to help any number that came our way. As we were driving to pick up this three-week old baby who had not eaten in several hours, we received another phone call. “Do you have any puppies who need a mama?“ Are you kidding? Turns out, a senior mama who should have been spayed years ago, just had a litter of puppies, all of which died. She was collecting items, putting them in bed with her, and pulling them close to her. She didn’t understand where her puppies were. Our little guy arrived at just the right time. He was able to nurse, but they were both more interested in what you see right here. She pulled him close and they just nuzzled one another. They both quickly settled and fell asleep. It was one of the most beautiful moments we have ever seen. Coincidence? Nah. These two were meant to help each other through this rough time in their lives. This year is looking to be one of the toughest ever in rescue. Moments like this show us we are right where we are supposed to be doing exactly what we should be doing.

Intermediate 1 Open Champions!!! Such a surreal moment! This horse has been through so much, but every single day he tries his heart out for me. Couldn’t have asked for more from him, and it was only his third time ever showing this level!💙💙💙

Thank you Karen lipp stal 810 for all your incredible help getting him here! Also biggest thank you to my parents, Nancy Roman, for your unconditional support in letting me pursue my dreams!
