The primordial pouch is a loose flap of skin which runs along the length of the cat’s belly, but is most pronounced towards the rear. It can often be seen swaying from side to side when the cat walks or trots.
Pet owners often attribute the primordial pouch to weight gain, but it is common on cats of all shapes and sizes, even slim ones.
The primordial pouch acts as a protection to the internal organs during a fight or attack. If you have ever seen cats in a fight, you may have noticed that they often kick each other with their hind legs and their sharp claws, which could potentially damage these vital organs.

MESSAGE: Mr. Young,
Gov Hogan has opened the state to stage 1 and you disagree, we are all aware of the virus and its ongoing threats
We are also aware the Fed Gov sets the Essential Business list but locally it can be altered
I am writing on behalf of my wife and every other small dog grooming shop in the city and the state as a whole, Unless supplies are sold they are not allowed to open. I would suggest grooming pets, with or without selling supplies, is essential to the health and well being of our families furry members
Matting can cause amputations, even death Groomes alert owners to health issues showing on their pets abscesses, cysts, infection, impacted glands and many many more
Most groomers aren't PetSmart or Petco, they are family owned and operated, the sole support of their family
The approx 6 weeks we were forced to close has been costly and help from the city or state is slow if available at all. Any longer shuttering of these small shops will cause a massive loss of these small businesses you in the government are always touting as the backbone of our economy
Dog Grooming can be done safely, with proper PPE and Social Distancing, Shops do to have customers standing around waiting for their pets to finish, rarely are there more than 1 person at a time, curbside pick up is easy enough to do
Please reconsider allowing them to open, to help the pets, their families and the community at large

My husband said I have to be honest lol. After Gov Hogan reopened small business and he said Groomers. I balled like a baby, tears running down my face lol. Tears of happiness. I have missed all of you. Yes I am going to be very emotional the first few days lol. As of Sat. May, 16 our little shop will reopen. I ask only one customer in my shop at a time a Mask is required. Please bear with us. Since I am the only groomer. Love you all and I can't wait to see you all.
