Now that momma is done having babies I can finally take pictures of the 4th litter and the newest litter now. This is our silver breeding group so all babies in here will be silver or blue in color.
We breed ARBA standard Thriantas.

Well momma lost baby privileges she decided that she was done and tried killing everyone unfortunately we lost 2 babies because of her. So she was removed last night and added back into the flock. Here she is this morning going about her normal everyday chicken business like she never had kids to begin with or was ever broody. What a brat.
Hung out with the geese for a little while Ducky was fascinated with the shirt I was wearing ( husband's shirt absolutely full of holes lol) she kept trying to yank the rest of the shirt apart. Finally sat down in the goose pen to snuggle Ducky after awhile of snuggling she jumped up and accidentally nicked me lol. The geese nails are sharp I will have to give them all a quick trim later.
Lots of rat pups! Plus 1 more litter not pictured and 1 litter just arriving!
Serama chick and splash silkie cochin baby fit right in with the rest our 2 newest babies that hatched yesterday I was going to add this morning but the partridge or possible chocolate baby decided to take a swim in the incubator reservoir so I have to let it dry off again before I bring both of them out here.
Miss Zelda went on a trip with me yesterday and she was so happy to explore the grass and fall asleep on my foot. She is just the sweetest. Her wrinkles and saggy belly makes me laugh.
Busy busy busy over here our incubator is hatching out some babies. 1 serama chick and 3 silkie cochins! Serama chick and the splash silkie cochin were taken to the farm tonight and given to mama fluff and she happily took them so hopefully the next 2 babies can sneak under her as well.
Hey there pretty bird! Maximum is looking fantastic.
Oh to be a duck on a log. Not a care in the world.
Turns out all those seeds the pigeons won't eat the pheasants will and they absolutely love when those seeds are sprouted. So I have been cleaning out the pigeons dishes before I fill their feeders in a bucket that has drainage holes and allowing these seeds to get rained on and letting them sprout. Of course the second i go to take a picture both stare at me like I crazy for disturbing their luxury meal.
Some more work done today on the yard discovered more bricks and areas missing bricks so made a small garden bed for fun. And started getting all the green sludge off the glass doors and siding. Most of the sludge has been there since before our animals occupied the yard but I'm sure the animals helps with their contributions lol. Once spring comes we will definitely have to seed the yard and hopefully get the grass back where it needs to be. I'm going to look into plastic edging for around the bricks to keep the sandy soil from covering it back up again. This is not my property we just occupy it with my sisters permission. I just like to help her maintain the yard and help it make her life easier by hopefully not having to do all this when I'm no longer occupying this area. That way she has a clean property with little to do when she gets her project over here started. I also really like cleaning over grown yards lol fun discovering things and making it look pretty again.
Our 2 newest indian fantails are out of quarantine!
Can't wait to get babies out of this pair next year. Getting ready for winter soon going to be alot of work.
Momma and babies are up and moving around!
Why are rats like this lol stop sleeping on his face!
Look at those crazy feathers miss ducky is definitely going to in our breeding stock for awhile she is so pretty 😍
Having to fish duck eggs out of their dirty poo water pool has me like.
Got some water this morning and this little one just kept on drinking lol. Was very happy to see it's getting up and drinking water momma was of course eyeballing me the entire time I was watching.
Since momma did just fine taking in baby 1 we added in the slightly older blue silkie cochin in our brooder this morning and she happily took that baby as well and the newest blue silkie cochin in our incubator was added tonight. She is such a fantastic mom.
Little baby and momma did just fine and momma was making happy momma noises to show the little one food so she is doing great and has accepted her new addition.
Welp sliced my foot open tonight trying to get momma cochin and her baby set up in their own cage. Flip flop is soaked in blood.
She was so angry this afternoon. Broodiness in full swing.
Well hopefully momma will take her prehatched babies lol. Fluff has been broody for the past 2 days and I won't let her sit on real eggs this late in the year I tried breaking her broodiness twice today but was unsuccessful so I gave her the white chick from our incubator and the blue one will go to her tomorrow pending the white one is alive and mom is caring for it. These babies are actually hers I just hatched the eggs at home vs her doing it since she wasn't broody then. These babies are half silkie half cochin dad is Baby our splash silkie roo. I'm hoping that putting these babies under her will help break her broodiness faster vs letting her sit on eggs. She was very accepting of the white chick and re-adjusted herself on it after I put it under her. So morning well tell if she has fully accepted it or if she will try to kill it. If she does reject it I will put it and the blue one in the brooder and remove the gold lace Wyandottes in the brooder so they don't kill the newest chicks.
Another surprise guest when I got home from the farm a silkie cochin chick has hatched out! This one looks like it's dad (Baby)
More yard work was done with past week to rediscover the driveway that leads into the animal yard. First photo was a before shot the worst spot was under the gate and in front of it the dirt was atleast 6in deep. I will have to work on this some more to make it more clean and the dirt that is being removed from the bricks is being relocated to parts of the yard that have holes or significant dips in the ground. That way we can keep the dirt away from the bricks and hopefully level out the yard as it does slope funny in some spots.
Getting plans together for spring so we can start separating call ducks into color breeding groups going to be so much fun to get these guys into their own color cages.
Don't forget to trim those butts to avoid Di**le berries! But can we seriously take a moment to appreciate the cool color pattern this roo has after a butt trim! Even if he is mad at me for violating his business he won't be running around with poo stuck to his butt feathers gotta look go for the ladies.
Who is angry about their haircut but rocking a mullet that's right Elvis is. Business in the front party in the back!
Gentleman just ended up being the sweetest and cutest little boy ever. He is a thrianta/ holland lop (project line to get thrianta red to holland lop body)
The cull pen (destined for dog feed for a friend) contains 5 bucks and 1 doe. 5 of these rabbits are thrianta/ blue holicer crosses and 1 thrianta from the pumpkin litter. They will be weighed this weekend to see if they are ready for butcher.

Headphone warning ⚠️ Benny, Lucci, Ducky, and Gypsy enjoying their morning grass delivery. Magnolia is still unsure of me but hopefully one day we get there. Out of the geese we own Ducky, Benny, and Lucci are the friendliest Gypsy is still cautious and magnolia is completely hands off. I'm happy we ended up with some friendly geese finally. After nonstop run away geese in the past I'm happy we have some that will atleast interact with me vs thinking I'm going to hunt them down and kill them constantly
Everyday I go out to care for the animals I am greeted by koda and Gunter koda normally talks to me and howls his happiness but Gunter doesn't normally but since spend alot of time out there he has picked up koda's excitement and is now talking to me and greeting me at the gate as koda does. I do believe when koda finally does pass away I will forever have a piece of him with this little man behaviorwise and his quirkiness. I love my koda bear and love that he is able to mentor his replacement so I will forever have a piece of him with me.
So talkative lol I love listening to his peeps his screams are awful though sounds like a pterodactyl screech.
Anyone else got a chicken who skips lol 😆 any time I hold Elvis or pet him he always skips away after I stop petting him or put him down. He always comes back for more love just to happily skip away afterwards.
Training our LGD Gunter to walk on a leash is a success! He is great at loose leash walking and doesn't pull he is such a smart cookie.
Introductions are out of the way and we got to practice walking on a leash somewhat lol. He will definitely get more confident as we come out here but for now we kept our visit short so we didn't stress him out.
Elvis is such a goof the second I get over to the farm and let him out for the day he parades around the yard doing the classic silkie skip and crowing 3 ft from me lol.
The goslings and I went for a walk yesterday and had lots of fun they made friends with the lady down the street who owns chickens and the kids that were with her. They loved the attention and the grass from their yard lol. Afterwards we walked back to the yard and they got some snuggles before going to bed. This is also teaching them how to get home if they ever get out. And how to avoid the scary monsters going down the road. They have done great to get out of the road the second they hear a car unlike the Canadian geese in our town.
Just the cutest little babies. The goslings are getting bigger and are loving their pets and run around. I'd have them out all day but I don't want to make the mistake of koda accidentally trampling a baby again during his zoomies. And I can't leave koda tied up or I run the risk of cats, other dogs, hawks, and raccoons potentially grabbing them and him not being able to stop it. So while I'm doing chores the call ducklings and the goslings get to run around while koda is tied up in the shade when I'm done with chores the babies are put up and koda is released from his tie out.
The daily occurance on the farm is Pidgey and his wive Pidove wanting to come out to check things out and sit on me as I do chores but tonight Pidgey wanted to taunt his neighbors lol. I let them out for a little bit but it was getting dark and the raccoons are still a threat so can't leave them out alone. Plus it was in between rain showers wet pigeons are not fun.
Well darn atleast it's a mutt line and not show rabbits but jeez mom why you steal their ears! Either way they are still cute these babies from Dory are still smallish seeing as there is 7 of them but they will catch up and be massive in no time.
While cleaning trays I normally have 1 rabbit out for run around while I clean Mr. Frankenstein was the one out today and he decided to do some light cleaning of his own lol but he did not appreciated my efforts to remove the spiderwebs he collected on his face. I was able to get them off and after I was done cleaning he came running to his cage when he saw I had food for him. He is just a beautiful boy and has such a great personality. I love all the Dyno babies. She always gave me the greatest tempered babies.
