Serama chick and splash silkie cochin baby fit right in with the rest our 2 newest babies that hatched yesterday I was going to add this morning but the partridge or possible chocolate baby decided to take a swim in the incubator reservoir so I have to let it dry off again before I bring both of them out here.
Since momma did just fine taking in baby 1 we added in the slightly older blue silkie cochin in our brooder this morning and she happily took that baby as well and the newest blue silkie cochin in our incubator was added tonight. She is such a fantastic mom.
She was so angry this afternoon. Broodiness in full swing.

Benny, Lucci, Ducky, and Gypsy enjoying their morning grass delivery. Magnolia is still unsure of me but hopefully one day we get there. Out of the geese we own Ducky, Benny, and Lucci are the friendliest Gypsy is still cautious and magnolia is completely hands off. I'm happy we ended up with some friendly geese finally. After nonstop run away geese in the past I'm happy we have some that will atleast interact with me vs thinking I'm going to hunt them down and kill them constantly
Everyday I go out to care for the animals I am greeted by koda and Gunter koda normally talks to me and howls his happiness but Gunter doesn't normally but since spend alot of time out there he has picked up koda's excitement and is now talking to me and greeting me at the gate as koda does. I do believe when koda finally does pass away I will forever have a piece of him with this little man behaviorwise and his quirkiness. I love my koda bear and love that he is able to mentor his replacement so I will forever have a piece of him with me.
The sudden realization that I was talking to him 😆
Savages act like I never feed them.
Jeez koda why can't we go one day without a bath!
Silly duck. Super excited to get color breeding done with this hen next year.
So talkative lol I love listening to his peeps his screams are awful though sounds like a pterodactyl screech.
Anyone else got a chicken who skips lol 😆 any time I hold Elvis or pet him he always skips away after I stop petting him or put him down. He always comes back for more love just to happily skip away afterwards.
Training our LGD Gunter to walk on a leash is a success! He is great at loose leash walking and doesn't pull he is such a smart cookie.
Introductions are out of the way and we got to practice walking on a leash somewhat lol. He will definitely get more confident as we come out here but for now we kept our visit short so we didn't stress him out.
Elvis is such a goof the second I get over to the farm and let him out for the day he parades around the yard doing the classic silkie skip and crowing 3 ft from me lol.
The goslings and I went for a walk yesterday and had lots of fun they made friends with the lady down the street who owns chickens and the kids that were with her. They loved the attention and the grass from their yard lol. Afterwards we walked back to the yard and they got some snuggles before going to bed. This is also teaching them how to get home if they ever get out. And how to avoid the scary monsters going down the road. They have done great to get out of the road the second they hear a car unlike the Canadian geese in our town.
Just the cutest little babies. The goslings are getting bigger and are loving their pets and run around. I'd have them out all day but I don't want to make the mistake of koda accidentally trampling a baby again during his zoomies. And I can't leave koda tied up or I run the risk of cats, other dogs, hawks, and raccoons potentially grabbing them and him not being able to stop it. So while I'm doing chores the call ducklings and the goslings get to run around while koda is tied up in the shade when I'm done with chores the babies are put up and koda is released from his tie out.
The daily occurance on the farm is Pidgey and his wive Pidove wanting to come out to check things out and sit on me as I do chores but tonight Pidgey wanted to taunt his neighbors lol. I let them out for a little bit but it was getting dark and the raccoons are still a threat so can't leave them out alone. Plus it was in between rain showers wet pigeons are not fun.
Well darn atleast it's a mutt line and not show rabbits but jeez mom why you steal their ears! Either way they are still cute these babies from Dory are still smallish seeing as there is 7 of them but they will catch up and be massive in no time.
While cleaning trays I normally have 1 rabbit out for run around while I clean Mr. Frankenstein was the one out today and he decided to do some light cleaning of his own lol but he did not appreciated my efforts to remove the spiderwebs he collected on his face. I was able to get them off and after I was done cleaning he came running to his cage when he saw I had food for him. He is just a beautiful boy and has such a great personality. I love all the Dyno babies. She always gave me the greatest tempered babies.
Round 2 of call duck eggs are hatching out and are gorgeous 😍
