It’s that time of year!!! We’ve finished all our pruning here at Indigo Acres and hoping for another year of big, beautiful, blueberry blues!! 😍

Moderately pruning highbush blueberries each year can make the difference between a bumper crop and a mediocre one.

Hello! My name is Kristy and as many of you may have already seen, it is the end of one era and the beginning of another as we transition from Kaye's Blueberries to Indigo Acres Blueberry Farm! We are so proud and thankful for the opportunity to continue the legacy that Kaye and her family have built over the past 38 years! I have a passion for blueberries and like so many of you, have enjoyed picking here with my family in past years. My family and I are so excited for the changes to come and committed to the providing the same beautiful berries that you've all come to know and love!! Lemon Blueberry Bread - All I can say is "INCREDIBLE"!! ~♥~
*To Save this recipe, simply Share it to your timeline*

Ingredients:
1/3 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons grated lemon zest
1/2 cup chopped walnuts optional
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

GLAZE
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon butter melted
1 cup confectioners sugar

Directions:
In a mixing bowl, beat together butter, 1 cup sugar, juice and eggs. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; stir into egg mixture alternately with milk. Fold in lemon zest, nuts, and blueberries. Pour batter into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 60 to 70 minutes.

GLAZE
Combine all ingredients mix well. Drizzle over bread.
